CaptchaSonic.com Review: Prices, Agent Tools and Claims Checked

CaptchaSonic is worth paying for when you need breadth or a route for AI agents, and not when you need cheap reCAPTCHA tokens. It prices 27 challenge types and ships an MCP server and SDKs in four package registries. Its reCAPTCHA v2 token costs $2.99 per 1,000, level with the dearest rate among seven solvers we read on 11 October 2026.

One fact comes first: since 11 October 2026, CaptchaSonic and HProxy list each other on their partners pages. We wrote this review the way we write every other one. It rests on the vendor's own pages, the package registries and the browser stores, all read on that day, and the partnership changed nothing in it.

We did not buy credit or run a solve. Where a number is the vendor's own and cannot be checked from outside, we say so.

What CaptchaSonic sells

CaptchaSonic sells successful solves, priced per 1,000 in US dollars. Its price list had 27 priced rows on 11 October 2026. Fifteen more were marked as coming soon, among them DataDome, Akamai and Kasada.

The big challenges come in two modes. A token is the finished answer your form submits. Image mode only labels the pictures, and your own browser does the clicking. For reCAPTCHA v2 the token costs $2.99 and image mode $1.00.

What CaptchaSonic charges per 1,000 solves

Read from captchasonic.com/pricing on 11 October 2026. The ceilings are the vendor's own stated maximum solve times, not our measurements.

Puzzle types such as GeeTest, Capy and TikTok cost $2.99 per 1,000, in image mode only. Most token types cost $1.45. Text, math and audio tasks cost $0.50, and the image mode of hCaptcha costs $0.20.

How the prices compare with six other solvers

A price means little on its own, so we read six other solvers' pages on the same day. reCAPTCHA v2 is the fair yardstick, because every one of them prices it. Cloudflare Turnstile is the second column.

Token prices per 1,000 at seven solvers

Each figure read from the vendor's own pricing page on 11 October 2026. Where a vendor posts a band, both ends are shown.
SolverreCAPTCHA v2Turnstile
NextCaptcha$0.50$0.60
CapMonster Cloud$0.60$1.30
CapSolver$0.80$1.20
Anti-Captcha$0.95 to $2$2
2Captcha$1 to $2.99$1.45
DeathByCaptcha$2.89$2.89
CaptchaSonic$2.99$1.45

On reCAPTCHA v2 tokens, CaptchaSonic is the dearest of the seven, level with the top of the 2Captcha band. 10,000 tokens cost $29.90 there. That is nearly six times the $5.00 they cost at NextCaptcha, and five times the $6.00 at CapMonster Cloud.

Turnstile tells a different story: at $1.45, CaptchaSonic matches 2Captcha and undercuts Anti-Captcha and DeathByCaptcha. It trails NextCaptcha, CapSolver and CapMonster Cloud. On MTCaptcha it is cheap: $1.45 against $3.00 at CapSolver.

Read rival prices on the rivals' own pages

CaptchaSonic's pricing page carries its own table of four rivals. On 11 October 2026, six of its eight rival prices did not match what those rivals posted the same day, and the gaps ran both ways. It showed the CapMonster Cloud reCAPTCHA v2 rate as $1.00 against a posted $0.60, and the Anti-Captcha Turnstile rate as $1.50 against a posted $2. The table says it is refreshed quarterly. The table above is read from each vendor's own page.

Is it fast enough for a token to stay valid?

Yes, by its own numbers. Google states that a reCAPTCHA token is valid for two minutes and can be checked once. Cloudflare gives a Turnstile token 300 seconds, also for one use.

CaptchaSonic states ceilings of 12 seconds for reCAPTCHA v2 and 13 for Turnstile. A solve at the ceiling uses a tenth of the reCAPTCHA window and about a twenty-third of the Turnstile one. That leaves room for a retry, a proxy handshake and a page load before the token goes stale.

The same page claims an average reCAPTCHA v2 solve under 3 seconds. That is the vendor's own figure, and we did not measure it.

Using it from an AI agent or your own code

This is where CaptchaSonic puts its effort. Its homepage leads with the MCP server and a Claude Code plugin. Most of its 15 public GitHub projects were created in June 2026, and its first MCP package went up on npm on 30 May 2026.

The MCP server runs in two ways. An MCP client can point at a hosted address, mcp.captchasonic.com, with your API key as a bearer token. Or you run it yourself with npx @captchasonic/mcp-server, which needs Node.js 20.3 or later.

Version 2.0.0, published on 6 October 2026, gives the agent five tools. Two of them solve: one takes a page address and site key for token challenges, the other takes images. The rest fetch a pending result, read your balance, and list every supported type with its price.

The docs page for agents still describes the three tools of the first version. When the two differ, trust the code page.

Claude Code also gets a plugin. Two commands install it, /plugin marketplace add captchasonic/captchasonic-skill and then /plugin install captchasonic. It brings three skills: one for setup, one for solving and one for the balance.

An MCP server is no longer rare among solvers. 2Captcha has published one since April 2026, CapSolver since June and CapMonster Cloud since July, each under its own GitHub account. The CaptchaSonic server can also run hosted, so an agent needs nothing installed locally.

Without an agent, the API is plain HTTP. You send a task to createTask with your key, then ask getTaskResult for the answer. The field names match the documented CapSolver API, down to the Turnstile task name, AntiTurnstileTaskProxyLess. If your code already talks to CapSolver, compare the two task lists before you move it.

The vendor's own comparison table claims SDKs in six languages, PHP among them. Four are on a public registry. Java exists as source code on GitHub, and we found no PHP package at all.

The browser extension

The extension is the oldest part of the business. The domain was registered on 6 December 2024, the GitHub account three days later, and the Firefox add-on a week after that. It has shipped five releases since April 2026, the latest on 9 October.

It works in Chrome and Firefox and solves on the page once you enter your API key. Without an active account and key it does nothing, which is the complaint in a Firefox review from January 2026.

The two stores do not agree with the site. Chrome shows 10,000 users and 4.4 stars from 101 ratings. Firefox shows 289 daily users and 2.3 stars from 3 ratings. The CaptchaSonic banner says 20,000-plus users and 4.7 stars.

The user count may include API customers who never installed the extension. The 4.7 appears in neither store. Eight of the ten newest English reviews on the Chrome page are dated 4 October 2026, so we give that average little weight either way.

Which claims hold up

We sorted the headline claims by what an outsider can check.

CaptchaSonic claims, checked on 11 October 2026

Claims from captchasonic.com. Checked against its status page, the two browser stores, the package registries and the rivals' own pricing pages, all read on 11 October 2026.

The one claim we could test from outside held. The public status page put the solving API at 99.94 percent. One of its four monitors, the dashboard API, read zero, and the page header listed one of four systems as not working.

The rest are the vendor's word, which does not make them false. It means you should test the claims that matter to you, on your own targets, with the free credit.

The pricing page also contradicts itself once. Its FAQ calls hCaptcha image tasks the most expensive type, while the table above it prices them at $0.20. Go by the table.

Refunds, trial and who you are paying

New accounts get starter credit without a card. Failed solves are refunded automatically, so you pay only for answers that work, according to the pricing FAQ. Credit starts at $1, according to the plugin's own page.

Refunds of unused credit are narrower. The refund policy, last updated on 1 January 2026, considers them within 30 days of purchase and subject to approval. Promotional credit and credit older than 30 days are not refundable.

The footer names the seller as CaptchaSonic Inc., but no page we read gives an address or a country. The Chrome listing marks the developer as a non-trader. For buyers in the European Union, the store adds, consumer rights then do not apply to contracts with it.

Who should buy it

Buy CaptchaSonic if you build AI agents and want a solver they can call through MCP, hosted or local. It also makes sense for the rarer types: TikTok, KeyCAPTCHA, Capy, Lemin, CaptchaFox, Prosopo or MTCaptcha. Its prices for those are posted, and on MTCaptcha they are low.

Look elsewhere if most of your volume is reCAPTCHA v2 tokens. All six other solvers we read post a lower rate there, at least at the low end of their bands.

Either way, start with the free credit and run it on your own targets. That is the only test that settles speed and success for your job.

Why the proxy decides how many captchas you meet

A solver clears a challenge after it appears. It does nothing about how often challenges appear, and that rate is set by the address your request comes from. Google's help page says its unusual traffic message appears when a network seems to be sending automated traffic.

That rate is measured. In ProxyVero's test of 7 September 2026, our residential pool reached 60 percent success on Google search, with a third of requests blocked. Across the 50 residential providers in its August 2026 report, the average was 44.49 percent success and a 54.22 percent block rate. The full breakdown is here.

Each challenge a job meets is one more solve on the bill, because solvers charge per solve. Halve the challenge rate and you halve the solver bill.

Residential traffic at HProxy costs $0.50/GB for the first gigabyte, with no plan and no minimum order, and the balance never expires. Pair it with a solver for the challenges that still appear. For every solver side by side, see captcha solving services compared.

Frequently asked questions

Does CaptchaSonic work through the API, without the extension?

Yes. The extension is only one way in, and the service itself is an API. Its documentation shows a createTask call and a getTaskResult call, both carrying your API key. It also publishes SDKs for Python, Node.js, Go and C#, plus an MCP server for AI agents. A user asked exactly this on the extension's GitHub page in April 2025, and the docs answer it.

Why does the CaptchaSonic extension do nothing after I install it?

It needs an active account and an API key before it solves anything, as its Chrome listing states. It also only acts on the challenge types it supports. A Firefox review from January 2026 describes exactly this: every permission granted, and nothing happened. A GitHub report from June 2025 said the key vanished whenever the browser closed. That report was closed four days later without a public reply, so check the key after a restart.

Is there a CaptchaSonic extension for Chrome and Firefox?

Yes, for both. On 11 October 2026 the Chrome Web Store showed 10,000 users and 4.4 stars from 101 ratings. The Firefox add-on showed 289 daily users and 2.3 stars from 3 ratings. Both stores carried version 0.3.4, released on 9 October 2026.

Can CaptchaSonic get past Cloudflare?

It sells Cloudflare Turnstile tokens at $1.45 per 1,000, with a stated ceiling of 13 seconds, read on 11 October 2026. Its MCP server also lists Cloudflare's challenge page, which has no price on the pricing page. Cloudflare documents that a Turnstile token is valid for 300 seconds and for one use only. A solve near the ceiling still leaves most of that window.

Why do my proxies keep triggering captchas?

The challenge is decided by the address before the page is served. Google's own help page says its unusual traffic message appears when a network seems to send automated traffic. Residential addresses still trip it. In ProxyVero's August 2026 data, 50 residential providers averaged a 54.22 percent block rate on Google search.

Can I stop dealing with captchas completely?

Not with any single product. A better address lowers how often a challenge appears, and a solver clears the ones that still do. In ProxyVero's test of 7 September 2026, our own residential pool reached 60 percent success on Google search, with a third of requests blocked. The rest is the job a solver such as CaptchaSonic is for.
