Cookie Policy

Which cookies HProxy may set, what each one does, and how to control them. Non-essential cookies stay off until you switch them on.

Off by default

You opt in, we do not assume

Under § 25 TDDDG, cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary stay off until you actively turn them on. Today we set only essential cookies, the ones required for the site to work and to keep you signed in. We run no analytics or marketing cookies at present; if that ever changes, they will stay off until you opt in, and this page and the table below will be updated to list them. You can change or clear your choices at any time using the steps at the bottom of this page.

Cookie categories

Essential

Always on

Needed for the site to load, to keep you signed in, and to keep your session protected against fraud and abuse. These cannot be switched off, because without them the site would not function.

Analytics

Opt-in

Aggregate, broadly anonymised information about how the site is used, so we can find what is slow or broken and improve it. Off until you opt in.

Marketing

Opt-in

Used only when we are running a paid campaign, to understand whether it is working. We set none today, and any that appear stay off until you opt in.

Cookies we may set

The table below lists every cookie in scope with its purpose, lifetime, category, and provider. We keep it current as we tune the site; if a name or lifetime changes, we update it here.

Managing cookies

You can clear or block cookies set by any site directly from your browser at any time:

  • Chrome / Edge / Brave: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Manage Data
  • Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Note that clearing essential cookies will sign you out of your account, and you will need to sign in again.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy whenever the cookies we use change. The date at the top reflects the current version. For anything cookie-related, reach us at [email protected].
