On 9 September 2026 the site introduced itself as "Free Proxy List , Live-Checked HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 IPs [1000+ IPs Online], Geonode". The one-paragraph pitch on their own page: "Free proxy list updated in real time [1000+ IPs Online] HTTP, HTTPS and SOCKS5 IPs with live speed, uptime and anonymity checks. Filter by country, export TXT/CSV/JSON or use the free API. No signup."
What else that page states, without interpretation:
The product lines named on that page are residential, datacenter, ISP or static residential and SOCKS5. They advertise 96 countries or locations. Support is advertised as around the clock. A refund or money-back term is mentioned. Their pricing page is titled "Pricing, Geonode".
All of the above is their copy, not our finding. A dated quotation is the weakest kind of evidence that is still evidence.
How far back the record goes
The domain was registered on 22 May 2021, through NameCheap, Inc, which makes it about 5 years old. We pulled that from the registry on 9 September 2026. The current registration term ends 22 May 2034.
None of it predicts success rate. It is here because domain age and archive depth are free to check, and a provider whose public record starts last quarter deserves a smaller first order.
Who actually runs Proxy IP List
We checked this one by hand on 6 September 2026. It is a list, and we record the operator as independent. It has been folded into another list rather than shut down, so the name survives as a redirect. Evidence recorded: 200 after redirect to geonode.com/free-proxy-list. Domain now forwards into geonode.
It appears to be independently operated. That is the better case for neutrality, and it says nothing about whether the addresses work.
The Internet Archive has it from 17 March 2010 to 21 January 2021, about 12 years of coverage. The domain was registered 22 May 2021 through NameCheap, Inc.
What none of that tells you is how many of the addresses answer today. We publish our own measurement of that on the free side: of 589918 addresses discovered, 4023 were alive at the last check, with a median lifespan of 145 hours. Any list without a check date is describing a past that has already gone.

Networks age, so re-test quarterly
Every review of this market, this one included, is a photograph of a moving thing. Read the date on any comparison you find, and discount it heavily once it is more than a few months old.
Ten million addresses, and none of them yours
The number that matters is how many usable exits you can reach in the one country your job needs, this week. A pool total averages that away, which is why two providers with similar totals produce opposite results on the same site.
Why a cheap address is often a used one
An address you share carries the reputation of everyone else on it. That is acceptable for some work and fatal for anything involving a login. The price difference between shared and dedicated usually reflects exactly this.

The measurement that outranks every review
This costs less than a coffee and produces the only evidence that applies to your workload.
- Take the smallest paid unit each provider will sell you. A free trial works for a first pass, though trials sometimes ride better pools than paid plans do.
- Fire the same batch through both on one afternoon. Different days are different conditions, and that ruins the comparison.
