There is no price in this comparison because we do not have one we can date and attribute. What follows instead is the set of questions that decide the cost once you do read their page.

When you do read it, note four things: the rate you actually qualify for today, the minimum purchase, whether unused balance expires, and whether failed requests are billed. Those four decide the real cost more than the headline does.

Eclipseproxy in its own words

On 9 September 2026 the site introduced itself as "Eclipse Proxy, World's Fastest and Cheapest Proxy Provider". The blurb under their search result reads: "Eclipse Proxy offers residential, datacenter, and ISP proxies starting at $1.25/GB. No data expiration, unlimited threads, 99.8% success rate. Trusted by developers and businesses worldwide."

Reading the same page for the things buyers actually ask about:

The product lines named on that page are residential, datacenter, ISP or static residential, mobile, SOCKS5 and IPv6. They advertise 120 countries or locations. Payment methods mentioned: PayPal and crypto. The page offers some form of free trial. A refund or money-back term is mentioned. Their pricing page is titled "Proxy Pricing, Residential, Datacenter, ISP and Mobile, Eclipse Proxy".

Those are claims, and claims are free. They earn their place here only because the date makes them checkable later.

How far back the record goes

The domain was registered on 21 February 2024, through NameCheap, Inc, which makes it about 2 years old. We pulled that from the registry on 23 April 2026. The current registration term ends 21 February 2031.

None of it predicts success rate. It is here because domain age and archive depth are free to check, and a provider whose public record starts last quarter deserves a smaller first order.

What our crawl found

Our own crawl reached 107 of their pages. The mix was 1 pricing page and 8 use-case pages.

Site size is a signal about marketing budget rather than network quality, and the two are frequently unrelated. It is useful for a different reason: a provider with many pricing pages is usually segmenting hard, and a provider with none is selling by quotation.

How active Eclipseproxy still is

Our crawl of their site found 107 pages carrying a date. The oldest is from August 2026 and the newest from August 2026. 107 of them carry a date inside the last twelve months.

Timestamps are not quality, and a company still publishing is at least a company still trading. That is worth more than it sounds in a market where providers disappear without notice.

A table like this can rank the things that are written down. It cannot rank the thing that matters most, which is how the network behaves against the site you care about.

The test that beats this page

It is a small amount of money for an answer that is actually about your target.

  1. Take the smallest paid unit each provider will sell you. A free trial works for a first pass, though trials sometimes ride better pools than paid plans do.
  2. Fire the same batch through both on one afternoon. Different days are different conditions, and that ruins the comparison.
  3. Write down two numbers per provider: the share of requests that succeeded, and the traffic it cost.
  4. Take a handful of the addresses you were given and verify their country and type against a checker you do not control.
  5. Choose on the measurement, not the marketing, and expect the answer to change within a year.

Frequently asked questions

Is a cheaper provider usually worse?
Not reliably. Price in this market reflects the supply model and the sales overhead as much as the network. What price does not tell you is the success rate on your target, and that is the figure that decides whether the cheaper option was cheap or expensive. Measure before assuming either way.
How is HProxy different?
The models differ more than the products do. HProxy is pay as you go from a balance you top up when you want, the balance does not expire, there is no subscription unless the optional discount suits you, and residential starts at $0.44 per GB with city and ISP targeting included. Whether that beats a tiered plan depends on your usage pattern, which a short test settles.
Do I have to talk to sales or sign a contract to switch?
Not with us. You can sign up, add funds and send traffic without a call, a minimum or a subscription. Whether another provider requires any of those is on their own pricing page and is worth reading, because a required commitment is part of the price even when it is not part of the rate.
How often should I re-test a provider?
Quarterly is a reasonable rhythm for most workloads, and immediately after a noticeable drop in success rate. Pools are rebuilt, suppliers change and detection improves, so a benchmark from last year describes a network that no longer exists.
Does a bigger pool mean better results?
No. Your job meets only the exits it draws, in the countries it needs, against one target's defences. Freshness and rotation policy move the outcome far more than the headline total, and pool totals across this market are counted generously and rarely audited.
