Each block below is the app doing its work, drawn from what it shows. The parts share one engine, so a proxy is judged the same way in the window, in a script and by your assistant.

Proxy checker

What the proxy checker tells you about each proxy

Every line is tried on all four protocols at once, so each result says which protocols really work rather than which one the port suggests. Lines are read in any shape a provider prints them: host:port, host:port:user:pass, user:pass@host:port, or with a scheme in front.

The exit address is read back from our judge, which echoes a number the app made up for that one request, so a proxy cannot fake it. The anonymity grade comes from the headers the proxy added, not from what it promises. HTTPS is tested through a real tunnel and the certificate is checked on your computer, so a proxy that opens your traffic and signs it again is named as one instead of passing as working.

Proxy connector

How the proxy connector connects your computer

Connect runs a small relay on your computer and sets it as the system proxy, so your browser and every program that follows the system settings go through the proxy you chose. The login stays inside the relay: programs see a local address that needs no password.

Pick a saved proxy, a list or a free exit. A list moves to its next proxy on the rule you choose: every connection, every N connections, at random or when one stops working. While you are connected, the app checks the connection every twenty seconds and shows the address you appear as, with its fraud score.

Disconnect, and the system proxy goes back to what it was. If the app ever stops without cleaning up, its next start puts the setting back first.

Fraud score

A free fraud score built in, or your own key for the big fraud services

Fraud systems judge a visitor by the address they come from, so the score of a proxy's exit tells you how a site is likely to treat you before you use it. The app asks for it in two places: in the checker's results when you ask for scores, and in Connect for the address you appear as.

It works out of the box with FFraud's free lookup, with no key and no account. If you use one of the big fraud services, or want its number in particular, create an account there, copy your API key, paste it into the app's Settings and press Test. From then on every lookup goes from your computer straight to that service, on your own account, and nothing passes through HProxy.

The password never enters the conversation

Put your proxy in HPROXY_PROXY and the assistant asks for a connection without naming one. It is handed a local address with no password on it, the login is attached on the way out, and no answer it receives carries the credentials. A model that is never told a secret cannot repeat one.

The person has installed the HProxy app. Its command-line tool is also an MCP server: start it as `hproxy mcp`. On Windows the app's Use with AI tab gives the full path to hproxy.exe. No key and no account.

A proxy with a login: the person puts it in the server's environment as HPROXY_PROXY=host:port:user:pass. Call proxy_connect without naming a proxy; you receive a local address such as http://127.0.0.1:8080 that needs no password. Never ask the person to paste a proxy password into the chat.

Free proxies from proxy_list, or proxy_connect with free=true, are public: never send logins or private data through them.

Never hidden from you

Everything running on this computer is listed by hproxy status, whether you started it or your assistant did: the address, the proxy in use with its password masked, and how long it has been up. hproxy stop ends any of it, whoever started it.

Several can run at once on different ports, so your browser can sit on one exit while an assistant works through another. From the command line nothing on your computer is reconfigured: a program goes through a connection only when you point it there. Connect in the window is the one that sets the system proxy.

Privacy

What the HProxy app sends, and where

Exactly this, and nothing else. There is no account, no telemetry and no usage tracking of any kind. The app ships with the full table of every request it can make, and the setting that switches each one off.

The proxies you check

Your computer dials each proxy and asks our judge, through it, which address it sees. The judge learns the proxy's address, never your list. If you switch checking to HProxy's servers in Settings, the list comes to us instead, logins included, because a proxy cannot be tested without its login.

Locations, if you want them

The exit addresses of working proxies, in batches, to look up the country, the city and the network. Not ports, not logins, not results. One switch in Settings turns it off.

Fraud scores

The address you appear as, once for each new exit while connected, or the working proxies you ask about. It goes to the free built-in service or to the service whose key you gave, never through HProxy.

While you are connected

One request every twenty seconds through the proxy, to the server you choose (our judge by default), to show the address you appear as.

Updates

A version check at start and every six hours: one file on hproxy.com, the same for everyone, and the installer when there is a newer version.

Your logins, never

Credentials stay on your computer: used to open a connection, masked in every answer and in the status file, and never sent to us when checking runs on your computer, which is the default.

Yes. The checker, Connect with your own proxies or the free exits, the fraud score through the built-in service, the assistant tools and the command line are free, with no account. You pay only if you buy proxies from HProxy, and the app never requires that.

It connects your computer through a proxy in one click, as a VPN app does, by setting the proxy as the system proxy. Browsers and most programs follow that setting. A program that ignores the system settings goes out directly; point that one at the local address the app shows, such as 127.0.0.1:8080, which takes HTTP and SOCKS5.

No, and that is the point of the connector. The login lives in the server's environment as HPROXY_PROXY, the assistant is handed a local address like http://127.0.0.1:8080 that needs no password at all, and the login is attached on the way out. The password never appears in a tool answer, in the status file or in the logs.

Use them when they fit: they need no install and they run on our servers. The app runs on yours, which matters in two cases. A proxy locked to your IP can only be tested from your IP. And a proxy you connect through has to run where your traffic is.

Yes. Closed, the app keeps running in the tray by the clock and the connection stays up; the tray menu reopens it or disconnects. From a terminal, hproxy connect with --background starts a copy with no window, prints where it listens and returns. hproxy status shows it later and hproxy stop ends it.

No. The Windows installer is 5.1 MB, and the app does nothing at all while it is not asked to. Checking is limited by the network, not by your processor: the app decides how many proxies to have in flight from how the ones in flight behave, rather than opening everything at once.
