Talabat, like iFood, checks where your network is before it shows you anything. On 24 August 2026 a request to talabat.com from a datacenter server in Germany came back as HTTP 403 with an empty body, no storefront, while all five of the free proxies that connected, exiting in or near the region, were served the real UAE Talabat site. The gate matches networks that are not in the Middle East, so the entry ticket is a residential address in the region.
Behind it is the delivery leader of the Gulf. Founded in Kuwait in 2004 and owned by Delivery Hero, Talabat runs in eight MENA countries, the UAE, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, Jordan and Iraq, works with more than 65,000 restaurants and grocery businesses, and serves over six million active customers; its December 2024 Dubai listing was the largest global tech IPO of the year (talabat corporate). Every storefront is built per address inside one of those countries, so reading a market is reading many addresses on a schedule. This page covers the door, the jobs, the type, setup, sizing and limits.
The short answer
Residential proxies in the Talabat country you read, pinned to the city where possible, driving a real browser, one session per address. A static ISP proxy per account for any partner login. A non-regional datacenter exit is refused, so datacenter is not an option here beyond a regional ISP static IP.
Talabat as a target
Restaurant storefronts, built per address, with restaurant-set prices and Talabat-set fees. talabat mart and the grocery and retail layer, priced per store, a quick-commerce target. talabat pro, the membership that changes the fee schedule. And eight national markets, each in Arabic and English with its own currency (dirham, dinar, riyal, pound) and its own promotions.
talabat.com renders in the browser. Once a regional address is past the gate, storefronts load through Talabat's own API calls keyed to the address in the session.
Jobs a proxy is right for
- Menu and price monitoring across the Gulf. Chains audit their own listings and franchisee markups across Dubai, Doha, Kuwait City and Cairo; analysts compare delivery pricing across the region in local currency.
- Grocery and quick-commerce pricing. talabat mart's own prices per city, against local supermarkets and rivals, in markets where this is a primary readable source.
- Fee and pro research. Delivery fees, service fees and membership perks per country, and how they move.
- Coverage by address. Which restaurants and stores reach an address, discovered by entering it, for site selection and competitor mapping.
- Localization testing. Each country's storefront in Arabic and English with the right currency and promotions, read from an exit in that country, the method in geo-testing with proxies.
Jobs a proxy is not for
Rider accounts. Identity and right-to-work checks in each country.
Promotion credits and multiple accounts. Accounts attach to a local phone, payment method and device; farming credits runs against Talabat's terms.
Ordering from abroad. A local payment method and a real address in the delivery area are not network properties.
The door: a regional gate
On 24 August 2026 the direct request from our German server returned an empty HTTP 403, delivered through Cloudflare. The twenty elite HTTP proxies from our free proxy list that followed, one try each, split 15 that never connected and five that were all served the real UAE Talabat homepage (titled "Food delivery from your nearest restaurants in UAE"). The five that worked exited in or near the region.
That is a selective block, the same shape as iFood's: Cloudflare refuses networks the operator does not expect a regional customer to arrive from, rather than challenging every visitor. A block is a verdict, not a test, so a browser does not solve it; a regional residential address does, because it is what regional customers use. Scraping past Cloudflare covers the block-versus-challenge distinction, and the Brazilian version of the same gate is in proxies for iFood.

Type by job
| Talabat job | Proxy type | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Menu and price monitoring across the Gulf | Rotating regional residential, city-pinned, session per address | Passes the regional gate; reads as a local |
| Grocery and quick-commerce pricing | Rotating regional residential, city-pinned | Prices are per store |
| Fee and pro research | Rotating regional residential, session per address | Offers are per country and per session |
| Coverage by address | Rotating regional residential, session per address | Each address is one session |
| Partner login | Regional ISP (static residential) | One fixed, trusted location per account |
| Anything from a non-regional network | Refused | The gate blocks it |

Free proxies here
All five that worked exited in or near the region, which is the whole lesson: on Talabat the country of the exit is what the door checks, and the MENA free pool is thin. A single manual look is possible when you catch a live regional exit; a schedule is not. Filter our free proxy list to the UAE or another Talabat country and verify in the proxy checker. For a real read, our residential proxies start at $0.44/GB, pay as you go, no KYC, in the regions we cover.
Setup
- Regional residential exit, city-pinned. The entry ticket and the localizer at once. A Dubai address from a UAE exit.
- Real browser, cookies kept, Arabic-and-English aware. The storefront renders in both; keep the session's cookies. Launch flags are in the Playwright proxy guide.
- One session per address, currency recorded. Eight countries means several currencies; store it with every price. Sticky vs rotating proxy sessions covers the two modes.
- Treat a refusal on a regional exit as a signal about that exit. Retire it and log it. Avoiding IP bans while scraping has the rest.
Sizing
Auditing a chain across 5 Talabat countries, weekly:
countries 5
cities per country 2-3
addresses per city 8
sessions per exit per day 4-6
exits per country ~8-12 regional residential, city-pinned
Residential meters bandwidth; storefront pages with images blocked are small, so the address list sets the bill. Pricing is pay as you go with no expiring balance.
The boundary
A regional residential address is what turns the refusal into a page, and it is all the proxy contributes. Rider identity, account links, a local payment method and Talabat's terms, which prohibit scraping, stay where they were. Given that, a country-pinned regional exit with a real browser lets a legitimate data job read public storefronts across eight MENA markets the way locals in each city see them: one address per session, human pacing, the block rate watched.
The European and African platform with an AWS WAF challenge instead of a gate is in proxies for Glovo; the general method behind any scheduled price read is in proxies for price monitoring.
