Most people who search for an EA proxy or VPN want one of four things. They want cheaper FC Points from another region, the EA app in a country it does not serve, less lag, or several Ultimate Team accounts. This page answers from the EA User Agreement, the EA Positive Play Charter and EA Help, read on 28 September 2026. The short answer: EA bars obscuring your network connection or location to reach its services or make purchases. Its help for EA SPORTS FC says to disconnect a VPN when the game lags. Accounts may not be shared, sold or run with bots, and EA can ban an account, a device or all EA games.

Location, VPNs and purchases
The Positive Play Charter is the EA rulebook for players. Its list of misuse includes this line: "Don’t intentionally obfuscate your network connection, location, or other metadata to gain access to an EA Service or make purchases". The same list names "falsifying your connection to our services" as a way of trying to get around EA systems.
The User Agreement of 14 May 2026 sets the base rule for accounts. To create one, you must be "a resident of a country where use of EA Services is permitted". EA does not promise that its services work "in all geographic locations". The charter adds that you may not use an EA service in a country where export control laws stop EA from offering it.
The account side has an official route. EA Help lists regional settings among the details you can edit on your Account information page, after a verification code. It also warns that changes can be limited by the laws of your country, or by how recently you changed something.
Lag: EA says to drop the VPN
The EA SPORTS FC help on connection problems is direct: "Don’t use a VPN". If you use one, disconnect it and see whether the connection improves. The EA Help article on connection quality explains why: "VPNs can add extra distance between your device and EA SPORTS FC™ Game Data Centers, increasing ping or causing instability".
Its other steps are the usual ones. Use a cable instead of Wi-Fi where you can, and restart the router and modem. Close downloads and streams that use bandwidth, and set QoS on the router if it has it.
Accounts, the Transfer Market and bots
The User Agreement is short on accounts: "it’s yours, don’t share it". Its rules of conduct bar any part in "account or in-game currency buying, selling, distributing or farming". EA Virtual Currency "cannot be sold, traded, transferred, or exchanged for cash". The charter goes further: "You can’t share an EA account with anyone, even a family member". It also bars automated account creation, and "mass account creation for illegitimate purposes".
The FC rules name the tools. "Don’t use any sort of in-game bots, automation, or tools like auto-buyers". Coin farming includes "using bots in the Ultimate Team™ Transfer Market". The FC Mobile rules add: "Don’t buy “mule” accounts or perform comfort trades". The FC rules list the penalties:
- A temporary or permanent ban from FC online play.
- A ban from the current FC game.
- A ban from all FC games.
- A ban from some or all EA games.
A Transfer Market ban in FC 26 does not carry into FC 27, but access in the new game is not automatic either.
Anticheat, devices and bans
On PC, EA games can use EA Javelin, which EA describes as "a PC anti-cheat and anti-tamper solution designed to ensure fair play in our games". The User Agreement says such tools may run with "kernel, admin or user privileges" while an online game is open. Getting around its protection measures against piracy ends your licence.
Sanctions go beyond the account. EA may "ban your device or machine from accessing specific EA Services". The charter bars any attempt to get around earlier enforcement, "including through the creation of new accounts after being removed". A new address does not reset any of this.
