9Proxy is a residential proxy seller whose terms, since December 2025, name the business behind it as ConnectWise Limited, "a Hong Kong-based company". Its first certificate dates from 1 April 2023, and in December 2025 it took over the customers of BeeProxy. No register we could read gives the owners, the directors or the company number of ConnectWise Limited. The record below runs oldest first, with the source of every date. Prices and the alternatives are on our 9Proxy review.

We read every record on 10 October 2026 from our server in St. Louis: the domain registries, the certificate logs, the Internet Archive, the trademark offices that TMview searches, US court dockets, the network registries, Google's threat reports, and 9Proxy's own site, documentation and blog.
The story, oldest first

A solid marker is a record we read in a registry, an archive or a public database. A hollow marker is what 9Proxy says about itself.
Before 9Proxy: a web host, a proxy list and a name for sale
The name is older than the business. In January 2003 the archive caught www.9proxy.com forwarding to the home page of a web hosting company. In 2006 the address carried a small blog, "Proxy List - 9Proxy.com", with lists of open proxies posted that May.
From 2007 to 2011 the archive found a one-line page: "Click here to go to 9proxy.com." In January 2014 it showed a GoDaddy parking page, and Verisign's registry dates the current registration to 17 February 2014.
From May 2014 to April 2017 the address forwarded to a sale listing at HugeDomains, a domain marketplace. The archive then holds no page until March 2024, so it does not show when the name was sold, or to whom.
2023: a launch the archive missed
The business shows up in other logs first. A second domain, 9proxy-cdn.net, was registered on 31 March 2023, and today it serves the site's images. The certificate logs record the first certificate for 9proxy.com one day later, on 1 April 2023.
9Proxy's own papers date themselves to the autumn of 2023. Its privacy policy, as archived in 2024, says "Effective Date: 25th September 2023". The terms say 24 October 2023 and the AML policy 15 November 2023. A blog post of May 2026 counts the same way: "When we launched three years ago".
2024: a service "provided by ConnectWise"
The first archived page of the service dates from 5 March 2024. Its title read "9Proxy - Best Residential Proxies with Unlimited Bandwidth", and it offered "9M+ proxies from 90+ locations". It sold addresses one IP at a time, through a desktop app for Windows, macOS and Linux.
The terms of that day opened with a clause called "ConnectWise Relationship". It read: "9Proxy is a service provided by ConnectWise, a global provider of technology solutions and services." Buyers were also bound by "the terms and conditions of ConnectWise, which are incorporated herein by reference". The clause gave no legal form, no country and no address.
Disputes went to "the court located within the jurisdiction where the 9Proxy software is based". That sentence names no place, and it still stood in October 2026.
The About page told the story in its own way. It placed the idea in "the global shift brought about by COVID-19", when "ConnectWise recognized a fundamental need". It added: "Thus, 9Proxy was born." A customer quote on the homepage called ConnectWise "the company behind 9Proxy" and praised years of work "on multiple SEO projects".
By August 2024 the title of the pricing page read "Starting at $0.04/IP".
2025: twenty million, a new app and a partner called BeeProxy
In January 2025 the homepage claim more than doubled: on 25 December 2024 it still read "9M+ proxies", and on 24 January 2025 "over 20 million proxies". The same month brought version 2.0 of the desktop app, by the company's own changelog.

The contract changed in the same weeks. From January 2025 the terms kept the heading "ConnectWise Relationship", but the sentence under it was gone. For most of 2025, a reader of the terms met the word ConnectWise only in that heading.
By February 2025 the pricing title read "$0.025/IP".
BeeProxy enters the record in the same months. Its first certificate dates from 20 November 2024, and its first archived site from 14 February 2025. It sold traffic "for as low as $0.75/GB" and claimed "80M+ IPs across 195 countries".
Its site used the same set of policy pages as 9Proxy, down to an address that ends in "aml-compliance-program-policy". That points to a shared site template. It does not show a shared owner, and no archived BeeProxy page names a company.
The name had two earlier lives. In 2007 beeproxy.com was a parked page of proxy ads, and in 2012 it belonged to a French student project for a mutual-help app.
From June 2025 the 9Proxy homepage sent buyers of traffic to BeeProxy: "$0.75/GB with BEEPROXY, Our TrustedPartner!" In October and November 2025 the archive caught links to beeproxy.com tagged as coming from 9proxy.
December 2025: the merger and a company name
Two changes reached the site by 10 December 2025. 9Proxy began to sell traffic by the gigabyte itself, with bundles of IPs and gigabytes "From Just $25". And its text named a legal entity: "9Proxy operates as the trading name and brand of ConnectWise Limited, a Hong Kong-based company."

Eleven days later, BeeProxy closed to new customers. 9Proxy's migration guide, archived on 12 December 2025, announced that "BeeProxy is officially merging into 9Proxy." From 21 December 2025 nobody could open a BeeProxy account or place an order there. Balances, active packages and unused share codes moved to 9Proxy, and the guide promised "new features such as GB-based residential proxies".
Two review sites write that the merger lifted 9Proxy's pool to 20M+ IPs. The archive shows the order the other way round: 9Proxy claimed 20M+ from January 2025, eleven months before the merger. On 10 October 2026 every beeproxy.com address we tried forwarded to 9proxy.com.
2026: new products, the first price rise and a pause
The first months of 2026 brought new products, by the blog's own dates: Proxy2Web on 13 February, a public API on 5 March, and the ProxyHub phone app on 24 March. ProxyHub lets the desktop app assign proxies to many phones at once. From 1 April 2026, the site's text says, streaming sites such as Netflix, YouTube and Spotify are restricted on IP plans.
In March 2026 the pricing title fell to "$0.015/IP". Then, on 18 May 2026, the blog announced "the first pricing adjustment in 9Proxy's history", from 1 June 2026. It covered IP and bundle packages, and traffic prices stayed the same. The post named an infrastructure upgrade as the reason.
| IP package | until 31 May 2026 | from 1 June 2026 | rise |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 IPs | $20 | $24 | 20% |
| 500 IPs | $60 | $72 | 20% |
| 15,000 IPs | $600 | $720 | 20% |
| 25,000 IPs | $750 | $863 | 15% |
| 500,000 IPs, business | $7,500 | $8,625 | 15% |
Sources: the package records on 9proxy.com/pricing, in the archive's copy of 10 May 2026 and on the live page of 10 October 2026.

Within six weeks the site's text gained two notices. They are absent from the archive's copy of 10 June 2026 and present in its copy of 12 July 2026: "New Purchases Are Temporarily Paused", and "New orders are temporarily paused while we continue working on full service recovery." We could not read any statement by 9Proxy on the cause. Our 9Proxy review lists what other sites reported at the time.
The notices still ship with the site's text in October 2026, and from outside we cannot see whether a buyer is shown them. The price list answered normally on 10 October 2026.
Who 9Proxy is connected to

| connection | what the record shows | what it does not show |
|---|---|---|
| ConnectWise Limited | named in the terms as the company behind 9Proxy, in the text first seen on 10 December 2025 | its company number, address, directors or owners |
| ConnectWise, in 2024 | the terms called 9Proxy "a service provided by ConnectWise"; the About page credits "the visionary team at ConnectWise" | whether it is the same company as ConnectWise Limited |
| ConnectWise, LLC | an American maker of IT software with the same name; the registered CONNECTWISE marks in the US and the UK belong to it | any link to 9Proxy |
| BeeProxy | promoted on 9Proxy's homepage from June 2025; merged into 9Proxy from 21 December 2025; beeproxy.com forwards to 9proxy.com | who owned BeeProxy before the merger |
| CoinPayments | 9Proxy's documentation: "All crypto transactions are securely processed through CoinPayments" | anything beyond crypto payments |
| antidetect browsers and proxy tools | 9Proxy's integration guides for AdsPower, Dolphin Anty, Octo Browser and seven more tools | ownership: these are guides and referral links |
| the IPIDEA brands | Google named thirteen brands in January 2026; 9Proxy and BeeProxy are not on the list | any link |
| hosting | every 9Proxy host sits behind Cloudflare | anything about the operator |
The name ConnectWise also belongs to an American company, ConnectWise, LLC, a maker of IT software. Most CONNECTWISE marks in TMview belong to that firm or to ConnectWise, Inc., none to a Hong Kong ConnectWise Limited, and the ARIN network registry lists only Connectwise, Inc. 9Proxy's terms of 2024 named their ConnectWise without a legal form, and the terms of today name a company in Hong Kong. No record we read ties the American firm to 9Proxy.
In January 2026 Google's Threat Intelligence Group named thirteen proxy and VPN brands that, it says, the people behind the IPIDEA network control. The list includes 360 Proxy, 922 Proxy, Luna Proxy and PIA S5 Proxy. 9Proxy and BeeProxy are not on it, and none of the three Google posts we read mentions them. Our page on the IPIDEA cluster covers the brands Google did name.
In court and in filings
No US court record we found names 9Proxy. CourtListener, which indexes federal dockets and opinions, returned no result for "9proxy", for "beeproxy" or for "ConnectWise Limited" with "Hong Kong" on 10 October 2026. That search covers US courts only.
What 9Proxy sells today, in short
9Proxy sells residential proxies only, in two models. By the IP, a buyer pays for each address switched on in the desktop app, which forwards it to a local port. The address then carries unlimited traffic while it stays online, for "a few hours to ~24h". By the gigabyte, a buyer creates proxy lines in the dashboard, with no app.
The desktop app runs on Windows, macOS and Linux. Its changelog dates version 2.0 to January 2025 and the latest Windows release, 2.0.3.0, to March 2026. The ProxyHub Lite phone app runs on Android, and on iOS only as a "Developer Preview". We found no 9Proxy app in the Apple or Microsoft app stores.
On 10 October 2026 the smallest packages cost $24 for 100 IPs and $15 for 5 GB. The lowest rates were $8,625 for 500,000 IPs and $0.68 a GB at 10,000 GB. Unused IPs do not expire, and gigabytes expire after 180 days except on enterprise plans.
Every purchase is final under the refund policy, and a dead proxy is replaced only if reported "within 60 seconds of first use". Payment runs through crypto, local methods, cards, Google Pay and Alipay.
On where its addresses come from, 9Proxy says it uses "verified and compliant partners". Its About page of 2024 said every participant had agreed to share a connection, and that it rewards "a significant portion of these contributors" with money. No page we read names the app or the partners. The full price tables and the alternatives are on our 9Proxy review.
What customers report
The Internet Archive holds one Trustpilot page for 9proxy.com, from 28 April 2025: 4.4 from 55 reviews. Trustpilot refused our server on 10 October 2026, so we hold no newer score, and one capture makes no trend. BeeProxy's page held a single one-star review of 23 May 2025 when we read it on 16 September 2026.
Is 9Proxy legit?
The records describe a working business with gaps in its paperwork. It has sold proxies under one name since at least March 2024, after a first certificate in April 2023. It keeps a contract, a price list, documentation and a desktop app with a dated changelog, and it wrote down how BeeProxy's customers would move.
What the records lack is the company itself. The terms name ConnectWise Limited of Hong Kong, with no company number and no address, and the register could not be read. No trademark protects the name 9PROXY in any office we searched. Every purchase is final, and in summer 2026 its site added a notice that new orders were paused.
If you are looking elsewhere
- If you want a contract with a registered address, read the terms page before you pay. 9Proxy's names a Hong Kong company without a number or an address.
- If you buy by the IP, the price of each IP package rose by 15 to 20% on 1 June 2026. Our 9Proxy review prices five other networks on the same day.
- If you buy traffic in small amounts, HProxy sells $0.50/GB for one gigabyte of Lite, and the balance never expires. No proxy or VPN group owns HProxy. Our free proxy checker tests proxies from any provider, with no sign-up.
What we could not find out
- Who owns ConnectWise Limited, who directs it, and when it was founded. The search of the Hong Kong register sits behind a captcha, which we do not get past.
- Which "terms and conditions of ConnectWise" the 2024 contract meant, and whether that ConnectWise is the same company as ConnectWise Limited.
- Who ran 9Proxy from April 2023 until its terms named a company in December 2025.
- Who owned BeeProxy before the merger, and whether the two shared an owner earlier.
- What happened in June and July 2026. We could read only the notices on 9Proxy's own site.
- Which apps or partners supply its residential addresses.
We bought nothing and tested no 9Proxy proxy: our rule is to read and never to buy. Prices, packages and notices change fast. We will check this page against the records again by 10 January 2027.
