This is an obituary written from public records rather than gossip. Browsermox has stopped answering, and the registration and archive trail is the only honest account of it available.
When the lights went out
Checked on 9 September 2026 over https, www and plain http, the domain returned nothing (ENOTFOUND). No holding page, no error from a working server, simply no answer.
The Internet Archive holds 6 working captures, the last in September 2018. After that the crawler found nothing worth keeping, which is the closest thing to a date of death the record offers.
The site, in its own words
The final good capture, September 2018, carried the title "browsermox.com - Sponsored by alroky.com". Above the fold it said "Proxy Network". Its search snippet read: "Feel free to browse the internet at school with browsermox.com to unblock websites like Myspace, Bebo, Facebook, Friendster, hi5 and more! Designed by FreeProxyTemplates.com"
The company is describing itself there, preserved by a third party. It is the closest a reader gets to seeing what they signed up for. Marketing, not evidence of quality, but nobody can quietly revise it now.

The archive first captured a working page in April 2018.
The public record holds that much. It shows a company that was real and shipping, and nothing about how well.
