Thunderbit alternatives: what to check before you switch

Looking past Thunderbit? Match the units, find the expiry clause, then measure success rate on your own target. This page covers all three.

Free proxies won't hold up here.

Shared datacenter IPs get flagged and dropped fast. When it has to hold, gaming, streaming, accounts, you need mobile and residential IPs that read as a real device, from $0.44/GB, pay as you go.

Residential proxies

There are two honest ways to compare proxy providers. Read both pricing pages carefully and match the units, or run the same batch through both and count. This page does the first and tells you how to do the second.

What we know about Thunderbit, and what we do not

Thunderbit trades at thunderbit.com.

We price the providers we can source and date, and Thunderbit is not currently one of them. The rest of this page is about what to check when you read their pricing yourself.

Take down four numbers and a date: reachable rate, minimum purchase, commitment for the floor rate, and expiry period. Anything less and you cannot compare them to anyone.

Thunderbit in its own words

Their homepage title, read on 9 September 2026: "Thunderbit: Agentic Web Scraper - Scrape any website in 1 click". The one-paragraph pitch on their own page: "Turn any webpage into a spreadsheet with AI agents. No setup or technical skills required, built for non-technical teams."

The rest of what the page puts in writing:

The product lines named on that page are a scraping or SERP API. Their pricing page is titled "Pricing Plans, Thunderbit".

Every line above is a quotation from their marketing rather than a measurement by us. It is included because it is checkable, not because it is evidence of performance.

Age, and why it matters here

The domain was registered on 17 February 2013, through GoDaddy.com, LLC, which makes it about 13 years old. Checked against the registry on 9 September 2026. The registration currently runs to 17 February 2027.

This proves nothing about the product. It is a cheap check against the one failure mode that costs buyers real money in this market, which is paying a provider that will not exist in six months.

What Thunderbit publishes

Our own crawl reached 18.513 of their pages. The mix was 7.485 blog pages, 10 pricing pages and 150 integration pages.

The number is not a compliment or a criticism. It describes how much of their effort goes into being found, which is worth knowing when you are weighing a marketing claim against a measurement.

Whether anyone is still working on it

Our crawl of their site found 15,958 pages carrying a date, 7,485 of them articles. The oldest is from May 2025 and the newest from August 2026. 12,800 of them carry a date inside the last twelve months.

Read that as a liveness check rather than a review. It says the lights are on, and nothing about whether the proxies work on your target.

What the search data says about Thunderbit

Search volume around the name runs to 120 a month, split as 50 a month for their pricing, 50 a month for a review of them and 20 a month for an alternative to them. Figures read from Google Keyword Planner on 9 September 2026.

Source: Google Keyword Planner, worldwide, read 9 September 2026. Terms counted: thunderbit pricing, thunderbit review, thunderbit alternative.

The biggest slice is people trying to work out what it costs, so the useful thing to hand a reader is evidence rather than an opinion.

The top bid on those terms reaches $8.60 a click. That is the market pricing its own customers, and it explains why almost every other result you found is an affiliate page.

What you still do not know after reading their site

Why 195 countries tells you nothing

Almost every provider claims almost every country. What differs is depth, and depth decides whether a single city or a single carrier is usable. No published figure tells you that.

Per gigabyte against per address

Work out what your job actually consumes, in gigabytes or in concurrent addresses, before you look at any price. Without that number, no two quotations in this market can be compared at all.

Networks age, so re-test quarterly

Supply changes hands quietly in this industry. The network behind a brand can be replaced with no announcement, which is why a benchmark is a perishable good and a re-test is cheap insurance.

The two of us, on the questions that matter

Set the two side by side on the questions that decide the outcome, rather than on feature counts:

Question to askThunderbitHProxy
Entry priceNot verified by us, read their pageFrom $0.44/GB, pay as you go
Does unused balance expire?Their terms page answers thisNever
Minimum commitmentOn their own terms pageNone
Identity checksNot published clearly, ask before payingCard orders are screened, and verification is sometimes requested
TargetingOn their own terms pageCountry, city and ISP
Free way to evaluateNot published clearly, ask before payingFree proxy list and proxy checker

Six rows is enough. Longer comparison tables in this market are usually padded with features nobody chooses on, which makes them look thorough and read as noise.

What to do instead of reading more comparisons

The steps below take about ten minutes and settle the question properly.

  1. Fund both accounts with the least money each will accept, and note what that minimum was, because it is part of the comparison.
  2. Aim both at the page that matters to you rather than a test endpoint, and keep every other variable fixed.
  3. Write down two numbers per provider: the share of requests that succeeded, and the traffic it cost.
  4. Take a handful of the addresses you were given and verify their country and type against a checker you do not control.
  5. Keep the winner, and repeat the whole thing quarterly, because pools age.

Comparable providers

We hold the same record for these, and the same honest limits apply to each:

What we sell, stated plainly

Our position is narrow. Residential from $0.44 per GB, no subscription, no expiry on the balance, and a public record of what our free network actually does. A provider unwilling to be measured is telling you something, and so is one that asks to be.

Frequently asked questions

Why look for a Thunderbit alternative at all?
The usual reasons any buyer compares two providers: the pricing model stopped fitting the usage pattern, a target started blocking, a specific country underperformed, a balance expired, or support went quiet. None of those is visible from a marketing page, which is why a small paid test on your own target settles it faster than any review.
What does Thunderbit advertise?
We do not hold a current, sourced price for Thunderbit, so this page does not print one. Read their own pricing page for the rate, the minimum and the commitment, and note the date you read it, because all three move.
How do I compare two providers fairly?
Match the units first, because residential is billed per gigabyte, datacenter and ISP per address, and mobile per day or per port. Then compare the rate you can actually reach today rather than the volume tier behind a commitment. Finish by measuring the success rate on your own target, since a cheap request that fails costs more than a dearer one that works.
Is a cheaper provider usually worse?
Not reliably. Price in this market reflects the supply model and the sales overhead as much as the network. What price does not tell you is the success rate on your target, and that is the figure that decides whether the cheaper option was cheap or expensive. Measure before assuming either way.
Do I have to talk to sales or sign a contract to switch?
Not with us. You can sign up, add funds and send traffic without a call, a minimum or a subscription. Whether another provider requires any of those is on their own pricing page and is worth reading, because a required commitment is part of the price even when it is not part of the rate.

Proxies that don't die mid-job

Residential, ISP, datacenter and mobile, verified by the same engine that runs tens of millions of checks. They read as a real device and hold up under load. Pay as you go, and your balance never expires. $0.44/GB is the 2,000 GB+ rate; a single gigabyte is $0.50/GB, with no minimum order.
