Proxy4free is not in our priced record, so nothing about their rate appears below. That gap is stated rather than filled, which is the only honest option available.
Read their page for the reachable rate rather than the headline, the minimum spend, the expiry clause and the billing treatment of blocked requests. Write down the date, because all four move.
How Proxy4free presents itself
Read 9 September 2026, the homepage titles itself "The Highest Quality Proxies - Residential Ip Resource Service - Proxy4free". Their meta description, the sentence Google shows under the link, says: "Proxy4Free is the highest quality proxy with over 90 million IPs in over 190 countries worldwide. Proxy4Free provides residential Ip resource services at the cheapest price!"
Taken from the same page, on the same day:
The product lines named on that page are residential, datacenter, ISP or static residential, SOCKS5 and a scraping or SERP API. A refund or money-back term is mentioned. Their pricing page is titled "Global coverage of residential proxies - Proxy4free".
Treat all of it as advertising, because it is. Its value is that it is dated and quotable, which is more than most comparison pages offer.
Longevity, on the public record
The domain was registered on 5 April 2002, through GoDaddy.com, LLC, which makes it about 24 years old. Registry data as of 9 September 2026. It is paid up until 5 April 2028.
Age is not quality. A long registration does not make a network good, and a new one does not make it bad. What it does rule out is the shortest-lived pattern in this market, which is a site that appears, sells, and is gone inside a year.
Whose list this is
We checked this one by hand on 6 September 2026. It is a list, and we record the operator as independent.
No proxy seller behind it that we could find. Independent lists tend to live on ad revenue, so expect the page to be busier than the data warrants.
The Internet Archive has it from 26 January 2006 to 3 January 2026, about 21 years of coverage. The domain was registered 5 April 2002 through GoDaddy.com, LLC.
What none of that tells you is how many of the addresses answer today. We publish our own measurement of that on the free side: of 589918 addresses discovered, 4023 were alive at the last check, with a median lifespan of 145 hours. Any list without a check date is describing a past that has already gone.
What the advertised numbers cannot tell you
What passes through, and what is kept
Anything routing your traffic can read it unless it is encrypted end to end, and can alter anything that is not. Assume the operator sees the metadata and decide whether that is acceptable for the work.
Networks age, so re-test quarterly
Pools are rebuilt, suppliers change and detection improves. A provider that beat the field last spring may be mid-table now. Nothing in this market stays true long enough to buy once and stop measuring.
A pool total is not a promise
Claims of ten million, one hundred million or more say nothing about whether your requests get through this week. Your job meets the handful of exits it draws, in your countries, against one target. Rotation policy and freshness move that outcome far more than the headline total.

Run this before you commit any volume. It replaces every opinion on this page, including ours.
- Open an account on each and add the smallest amount they take. Skip the trial if a paid unit is cheap enough to buy outright.
- Point both at your real target, through your real tool, on the same day, with the same mix of requests.
- Count how many requests returned what you wanted, and how much bandwidth each side spent doing it.
- Spot-check the exits. Confirm they are in the country you paid for and the connection type you were sold.
- Buy the one that won on your target, and diarise a re-test in three months.
