CherryProxy.com: who ran it, its 360Proxy links and its end

CherryProxy.com: who ran it, its 360Proxy links and its end

Cherry Proxy was a residential proxy seller at cherryproxy.com from September 2024 to January 2026. Its terms and privacy policy never named a company. They called the owner "Cherry Proxy and its affiliates", and from October 2025 chose Hong Kong law. The one company we found tied to the name is FIRENET LIMITED of Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, which applied for the US mark CHERRY PROXY in May 2025. Its homepage sent Mac users to a file on 360proxy.com, the server of another brand. On 28 January 2026 Google listed "Cherry Proxy" among brands it said were controlled by the actors behind the IPIDEA proxy network. The archive caught the shop for the last time a day later. Our Cherry Proxy graveyard page covers what to use instead.

Solid markers are records from a registry, an archive or a public database, Google's post included. Hollow markers are claims: the brand's own words, or the applicant's in its trademark filing.

2017: an older Cherry Proxy on the same name

The name was used once before. From February to May 2017 the archive caught cherryproxy.com as "Welcome | Cherry Proxy", a site that sold lists of proxies by subscription. It promised "premium proxies with just a click" and said: "We have formed alliances with several well known proxy providers." Then the trail goes quiet for seven years. No record ties that site to the shop of 2024.

2023 and 2024: a new registration and an empty server

Verisign dates the current registration of cherryproxy.com to 8 October 2023, through the registrar NameCheap. The terms the shop later published say "Last updated on December 15th, 2023". When the archive looked on 1 June 2024, the address showed only "Welcome to use OneinStack", the default page of a server setup tool.

The shop itself appears in the archive on 7 September 2024, under the title "The Most Cost-Effective IP Proxy Provider-Cherry Proxy". The US trademark filing of 2025 gives 26 August 2024 as the first day the name was used.

A contract with no company in it

The terms archived from September 2024 to October 2025 said the service "is owned and maintained by Cherry Proxy and its affiliates". They gave no company, no address and no country's law. Cherry Proxy kept the right to stop the service "at any time", and then it "shall not be required to provide refunds". Its refund policy put it shorter: "Please note that all payments are final."

A new version, dated 17 October 2025, reached the archive on 4 November 2025. Even then no company appeared: the pronouns we, us and our now referred to "our company, cherryproxy.com". For the first time the terms chose "the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region" and its courts. The privacy policy gave only an e-mail address, support@cherryproxy.com, from 2024 to 2026.

FIRENET LIMITED and the CHERRY PROXY mark

A company name does appear in the US trademark register. On 7 May 2025 FIRENET LIMITED, a Hong Kong limited company at "LLADRO CENTRE 72 HOI YUEN ROAD KWUN TONG", applied for CHERRY PROXY. The filing describes a logo in which the letter C "is like a cherry". The office sent an action on 1 October 2025, and no answer was filed. On 2 January 2026 the file was abandoned "because the applicant failed to respond".

The same register lists one more mark of a FIRENET LIMITED: 922, registered in March 2024 to an address in Wan Chai, on Hennessy Road. 922 Proxy is another brand on Google's list, and our 922 Proxy company page tells its story. OpenCorporates holds no Hong Kong company called FIRENET. We did not search the Hong Kong register itself, which puts its name search behind a captcha and charges HK$22 for a company's particulars.

The homepage pointed at another brand from its first archived copy. On 7 September 2024 its "Mac Download" button led to a file called 360S5Proxy_1.1.1.dmg on download.360proxy.com. Its "Proxy Manager" link led to a second 360Proxy file. The Windows program and the browser add-ons came from download.cherryproxy.com. Links to partner tools carried tags such as "utm_campaign=360proxy". Three quotes on the page, credited to Vmcardio, Crozdesk and AdsPower, praised Cherry Proxy, and the "View more" link under each opened a page about 360Proxy.

Where Cherry Proxy's homepage sent visitors, from the Internet Archive copy of 7 September 2024

The Mac button still pointed at 360proxy.com in January 2026. The US register lists the mark 360PROXY, filed on 11 June 2024, under HongKong Lingyun Mdt Infotech Limited. Our page on what happened to 360Proxy follows that brand.

AdsPower, which sells an antidetect browser, published a setup guide for each brand. Its 360Proxy guide was archived in July 2024 and its Cherry Proxy guide in November 2024. Paragraph for paragraph the two read alike, with the brand name swapped and a price or two changed. The Cherry version even gives the address "support@Cherry Proxy.com", where the other one had "support@360proxy.com".

What the homepage promised and charged

The claims hardly moved in sixteen months. The page offered "80M authentic IPs from over 195 locations" and said it was "Trusted by 30,000+ customers worldwide". Its sign-up button read "Get 100GB Free". It said Cherry Proxy "carefully selects industry-compliant partners" and complies "with GDPR and CCPA regulations".

The starting price fell from $1.20 to $0.30 a GB in sixteen months, with the biggest cut in the last weeks of 2025.

The price did move. Pay-as-you-go traffic cost $1.20 a GB in September 2024 and $0.78 in March 2025. It rose to $0.88 by August and stood at $0.77 in October and November. By 25 December a discount of 66 percent had cut it to $0.30, and a "CHRISTMAS DEAL!" banner was still up on 29 January 2026. By November 2025 the footer also carried a new link, "Police Assistance", which opened a Google form.

January 2026: Google names the brand

On 28 January 2026 Google's Threat Intelligence Group wrote that "many well-known residential proxy brands are not only related but are controlled by the actors behind IPIDEA". Its list names "Cherry Proxy", at cherryproxy.com, next to "360 Proxy" and "922 Proxy". Among its actions, Google says it moved "to take down the domains used to market IPIDEA's products".

The post also lists the names on code-signing certificates. Two read FIRENET LIMITED, one with the locality Wan Chai and one Hong Kong Island. Google does not say which files they signed. Nothing in the post points to the Kwun Tong address of the trademark filing.

These are Google's findings. No court record we could read names Cherry Proxy.

2026: the end of the site

The shop outlived the post by about a day. The archive copied the homepage at 04:32 UTC on 29 January 2026, Christmas offer and all, and a landing page at 16:40 UTC. Between the two, at 09:31 UTC, one copy of the address showed the default page of an Apache web server. The archive holds no copy of any cherryproxy.com page from a later day.

Our registry read of 23 April 2026 found the domain on "client hold", last changed on 28 January 2026. Its name servers then were blockedforabuse.pleasecontactsupport.com and a dummy secondary. On 14 October 2026 the hold was still in place, the registration had been renewed to 8 October 2027, and the name did not resolve. Trustpilot's page, archived on 8 March 2026, had closed itself to reviews "because the company's website has closed".

Former users kept searching. Keyword Planner counts searches for "cherryproxy" at 3,600 in January 2026 and for "cherry proxy login" at 2,900 in February. By August 2026 both had fallen below a tenth of their peaks.

The registry adds little. cherryproxy.com and 360proxy.com both used NameCheap, and both were on hold on 14 October 2026. A registrar serves millions of customers, so that says nothing about owners. Our page inside the IPIDEA cluster maps the wider group.

Cherry Proxy in court and in filings

We found no court case that names Cherry Proxy. US federal court records in the RECAP collection of the Free Law Project, which the Internet Archive keeps, showed nothing on 14 October 2026 under Cherry Proxy or 360 Proxy. A search for FIRENET found four cases of FireNet Technologies, LLC, a different company with a similar name. The filings that do exist are trademark files: the abandoned CHERRY PROXY application and the 922 registration.

What Cherry Proxy sold, in short

At the end, pay-as-you-go residential traffic started at $0.30 a GB and rotating ISP traffic at $0.40. Unlimited residential plans cost $65 a day, or from $3 a day when billed by the port. SOCKS5 proxies went by the IP from $0.03, and static residential ones from $5 a month. A Windows program and two browser extensions came from the brand's own server, the Mac program from 360proxy.com. The service and its downloads are gone.

What customers reported

Trustpilot's page for www.cherryproxy.com was never claimed by the company. The copy of 5 August 2025 shows one review and a score of 3.2. The copy of 8 March 2026 shows six reviews and 2.9: four with one star and two with five, written between March 2025 and January 2026. Two one-star reviews, of 20 and 21 January 2026, say support did not answer.

Software directories mostly repeated the brand's own words. Crozdesk's listing, archived in November 2024, carried the homepage text and no user review. SourceForge's, archived in August 2025, gave "Founded: 2023" and "Hong Kong" but no company name.

Was Cherry Proxy legit?

It traded for about sixteen months without naming a company in its terms, its privacy policy or its footer. The one company tied to the name appears in a US trademark filing that lapsed. Its homepage linked another brand's Mac program, and Google listed both brands among those it says IPIDEA's actors control. The shop went dark the day after Google's post. No court record we could read names Cherry Proxy.

If you are looking elsewhere

  • If the operator's name matters to you, look for terms that name a company and an address, and a trademark owner that matches them. HProxy's terms name its operator, Obsidian UG (haftungsbeschränkt), and choose German law.
  • If you need residential traffic without a plan, HProxy's Lite costs $0.50/GB, even for one gigabyte. The Cherry Proxy graveyard page lists other sellers.
  • If you still hold proxy addresses from another seller, our free proxy checker shows whether each one answers.

What we could not find out

  1. Who ran Cherry Proxy. Its own pages name no company. Hong Kong register documents for FIRENET LIMITED could answer it; they cost money, and we buy none.
  2. Whether the two FIRENET records are one firm. Kwun Tong in the 2025 filing, Wan Chai in the 922 mark and in Google's post.
  3. What tied the brand to 360 Proxy. Shared files and one guide text show a tie, but no record names a shared owner.
  4. What Google's legal action was. Its post mentions it, and no court record open to us names Cherry Proxy.
  5. Where its residential IPs came from. Its page spoke of "industry-compliant partners", and Google wrote that the listed brands are controlled by IPIDEA's actors.

We bought nothing and tested no Cherry Proxy proxy, because we read records and never buy. The domain is still registered and on hold, so this record can change; our next check is due by 14 January 2027.

Frequently asked questions

Is Cherry Proxy down?

Yes. On 14 October 2026 cherryproxy.com did not resolve, and Verisign's record showed it on "client hold". The last archived copy of any Cherry Proxy page dates from 29 January 2026.

What happened to Cherry Proxy?

On 28 January 2026 Google listed Cherry Proxy among brands it said were controlled by the actors behind the IPIDEA proxy network. It also wrote that it had taken legal action against domains used to market them. The archive caught the shop for the last time the next day, and our registry read of April 2026 found the domain on hold.

Who is behind Cherry Proxy?

Its own terms named no company, only "Cherry Proxy and its affiliates" and later "cherryproxy.com". The one company we found tied to the name is FIRENET LIMITED of Kwun Tong, Hong Kong. It applied for the US mark CHERRY PROXY in May 2025, and the application lapsed in January 2026.

Can I still log in to Cherry Proxy?

No. Its dashboard lived at center.cherryproxy.com, and the whole domain stopped resolving. Searches for "cherry proxy login" rose to 2,900 in February 2026, the month after the shop went dark.

Did Cherry Proxy have a free trial?

Its sign-up button read "Get 100GB Free" from 2024 to 2026, and the homepage asked visitors to "Start free trial". We never signed up, so we cannot say what the offer gave, and the site is gone.
