A Nepali IP comes from a Nepali internet provider, most often Ncell, Nepal Telecom or WorldLink. A residential proxy routes your traffic through one of their customer lines. Nepali sites then show you rupee prices, local search results and the ads that run there.
Nepal's registry is small: 584,192 IPv4 addresses, and a quarter of them sit with 167 small holders. IPv6 reaches 60.6% of users. One seller advertises more Nepali IPs than the registry holds. All 14 working free Nepali proxies on our list were flagged on October 26, 2026. Our residential proxies target Nepal at $0.50/GB for one GB.
Which networks does a Nepali IP come from?
APNIC, the internet registry for the Asia Pacific region, lists every block it gives out, with the holder's country. Its file, with records to October 24, 2026, lists 584,192 IPv4 addresses for Nepal, in 282 blocks held by 172 holders:
Each of the four largest runs its own record. On October 26, 2026, RIPEstat showed Ncell, Nepal Telecom, WorldLink and Subisu announcing their blocks on their own networks. Only 512 of WorldLink's addresses sat idle. WorldLink's record is named for dynamic broadband pools. The tail is wide: 167 holders with 16,384 addresses or fewer share 25.0% of the space, among them Nepal's research and education network.
Our Nepal proxies page lists 24 networks for Residential Premium, among them Subisu Cablenet, Nepal Telecommunications and WorldLink Communications. It also lists 20 cities across 7 regions, such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, Bharatpur and Pātan.
IPv6 is widespread. APNIC Labs measured 60.6% of Nepali users as IPv6-capable in the 30 days to October 23, 2026. A year earlier it was 55.9%, and in October 2020 12.1%.
How can a seller advertise more IPs than Nepal has?
No page we read explains it. We read five sellers' Nepal pages through our server on October 26, 2026, and divided each number by the 584,192:
Unique addresses registered to Nepal cannot outnumber the registry, so SOAX's 828,960 counts something else, and its page does not say what. In our Azerbaijan guide, the same seller's figure came to 109.5%. The other four pages stay at 19.0% or less. Bright Data's 111,131 is the number in its page title, and its page text shows 27,782 Nepal IPs, a quarter as many. DataImpulse's counters showed 16,665 unique Nepali IPs in 24 hours, 41,639 in 30 days and 2,026 active at once. We do not publish our own pool size per country.
What changes with a Nepali IP?
Sites read you as a visitor in Nepal. Google's help page says "IP addresses are roughly based on geography" and that location "helps to show you nearby results". Residential Lite covers the country at the lowest rate. Residential Premium narrows to a city or a network, chosen by its AS number.
Your address type still counts. MaxMind's Anonymous IP database, licensed by sites, flags suspected residential proxies, and our guide to how websites detect proxies has the rest.
Why do free Nepali proxies fail?
A handful work, and all carry flags. Our tracker has seen 256 Nepali addresses on public free proxy lists since May 13, 2026, and 59 worked at some point. On October 26, 14 were working, none in a datacenter, spread over WorldLink, Everest Wireless, Subisu and six other local networks.
An IP reputation check had flagged all 14 and reported all 14 for recent abuse. Our free proxy list for Nepal shows the live ones.
How do you pay from Nepal?
By card. On September 10, 2021, The Himalayan Times reported a notice from Nepal Rastra Bank, the banking regulator. It warned that "the transaction, usage and mining of cryptocurrency is illegal in the country". The bank said stringent action would follow against wrongdoers.
So from Nepal, pay with a Visa or Mastercard card that works abroad, from $10. The money goes into one balance that never expires, and the payment options page lists every method.
How much traffic does a Nepali job use?
Around 380 full desktop pages fit in a GB. HTTP Archive's 2024 Page Weight chapter recorded a median desktop page of 2,652 KB and a median mobile page of 2,311 KB. Text-only fetches are a fraction of that, so weigh twenty pages of your target first.
Which plan fits a Nepali job?
Residential Lite with Nepal as the country handles most jobs, at $0.50/GB for one GB and $0.44 per GB at volume. The free list, flagged throughout, is for tests. Residential Premium adds the 20 cities, the 24 networks and sticky sessions of up to 24 hours. It costs $1.49/GB for one GB and $1.00 per GB at volume. Mobile proxies reach Nepal's 4G and 5G carriers too, and our residential proxies page lists every tier.
