A Bangladeshi IP comes from one of the country's many internet providers, and a residential proxy lets your traffic exit through one. Sites in Bangladesh then see a local visit, with taka prices, local search results and the ads that run there.
Bangladesh breaks the pattern of other markets in three ways. No single operator dominates: 1,821 holders share its 2.09 million IPv4 addresses. Three sellers advertise more Bangladeshi IPs than the registry holds. And every one of the 83 working free proxies on our list was flagged on October 26, 2026. Our residential proxies target Bangladesh at $0.50/GB for one GB.
Which networks does a Bangladeshi IP come from?
From a long tail of local providers. APNIC, the internet registry for the Asia Pacific region, lists every block it gives out. Its file, with records to October 24, 2026, lists 2,090,304 IPv4 addresses for Bangladesh, in 2,351 blocks held by 1,821 holders:
The largest single holder, Access Telecom, has 82,688 addresses, 4.0% of the total. The national internet exchange BNIX holds 78,848, then BRACNet, Amber IT, Link3 and BDCOM. Grameenphone's record holds 23,552.
That spread shows in the targeting options. Our Bangladesh proxies page lists 296 networks that Residential Premium can pick, more than for most countries, in 110 cities across 8 regions.
IPv6 reaches under a fifth of users. APNIC Labs measured 17.7% of users there as IPv6-capable in the 30 days to October 23, 2026, against 18.6% a year earlier.
How can sellers claim more Bangladeshi IPs than exist?
By counting what the registry does not. We read five sellers' Bangladesh pages through our server on October 26, 2026:
Bright Data's title says 114,694 proxy IPs, and its page text 28,673 Bangladesh IPs, a quarter as many. The chart shows the title.
At one moment, no pool can hold more addresses than the country has. Counts above 100% therefore add addresses up over time, or count addresses that the registry files under another country. DataImpulse shows the time effect plainly: 75,936 unique IPs in 24 hours, 117,305 in 30 days and 12,821 active at once. We do not publish our own pool size per country.
What do you see through a Bangladeshi IP?
The local web. Google's help page notes that "IP addresses are roughly based on geography" and that location "helps to show you nearby results". Residential Lite covers the country at the lowest rate. Residential Premium narrows a check to a city such as Dhaka, Gazipur, Khulna or Rajshahi.
Sites keep their own checks for proxy traffic. MaxMind's Anonymous IP database, which sites can license, includes a flag for residential proxies. Our guide to how websites detect proxies covers the other checks.
Why do free Bangladeshi proxies fail?
They are flagged, all of them. Our tracker has logged 4,023 local addresses from public free proxy lists since May 13, 2026, and 956 worked at least once. On October 26, 83 were working, and only one sat on a datacenter network. The rest ran on local providers such as Amber IT, Link3 and Broad Band Telecom Services.
An IP reputation check had flagged all 83 and reported 82 for recent abuse. Home networks gave these proxies no clean record. Use them to test code. Our free proxy list for Bangladesh shows what is working now.
How do you pay from Bangladesh?
By card. Bangladesh Bank issued a circular in 2022, as The Business Standard reported. It asked "all individuals and institutions operating in the country to refrain from dealing in virtual assets and currencies, including Cryptocurrency". The paper had reported in 2021 that crypto transactions are listed as crimes under the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1947.
So the crypto option at our checkout is for buyers elsewhere. From Bangladesh, use a Visa or Mastercard card that works for payments abroad, from $10. Your balance never expires, and our payment options page lists every method.
How much traffic does a Bangladeshi job use?
A median desktop page weighed 2,652 KB in HTTP Archive's 2024 Page Weight chapter, and a mobile page 2,311 KB. One GB therefore loads about 380 desktop pages. Text-only requests stretch it much further, so measure twenty of your own pages before you top up.
Which one should you buy?
Residential Lite with Bangladesh as the country fits most jobs, at $0.50/GB for one GB and $0.44 per GB at volume. Free proxies are no option, since all 83 working ones were flagged. Residential Premium adds a city, one of the 296 networks and sticky sessions of up to 24 hours. It costs $1.49/GB for one GB and $1.00 per GB at volume, as our residential proxies page lists.
What this page could not check
- We tested no speed, success rate or block rate, on any network, ours included.
- We do not publish which Bangladeshi networks our own exits come from, or how many there are.
- APNIC's file counts addresses given out, which is neither the addresses in use nor a count of users.
- The payment rule comes from news reports of 2021 and 2022. We did not read the circulars themselves.
- Seller pool numbers are what each page showed on October 26, 2026. We could not check what each one counts.
- We will check every number on this page again by January 26, 2027.
