A Finnish IP comes from a Finnish internet provider, and three of them hold most of the country's addresses. A residential proxy routes your traffic through one of their customer lines. Finnish sites then show you local prices, Finnish search results and the ads that run there.
Elisa, Telia Finland and DNA hold 59.1% of Finland's IPv4 addresses. Companies such as Stora Enso, Finnair and UPM-Kymmene hold blocks of their own. Seller pools equal 0.6% of the 13.9 million addresses at most. Of the 9 working free Finnish proxies on our list on October 26, 2026, 8 ran in datacenters and all 9 were flagged. Our residential proxies target Finland at $0.50/GB for one GB.
Which networks does a Finnish IP come from?
RIPE NCC, the internet registry for Europe, keeps a file of every block it hands out, with the holder's country. With records to October 25, 2026, it lists 13,859,392 IPv4 addresses for Finland, in 1,093 blocks held by 463 holders:
Each of the three runs its record on its own network. On October 26, 2026, Elisa's announced 3,515,904 of its 3,560,960 addresses, Telia's 2,897,152 and DNA's 1,715,712. CSC, whose record is named for a maintenance network, and a record named NSN-LAB-NETS for "EMEA laboratories" come next. Companies hold blocks too: Stora Enso, Kesko, Finnair and UPM-Kymmene. At the bottom, 386 holders with 16,384 addresses or fewer share 5.7%.
Our Finland proxies page lists 40 networks for Residential Premium, among them Elisa, Telia Finland and Alands Telekommunikation. It also lists 64 cities across 18 regions, such as Helsinki, Espoo, Tampere and Vantaa.
About half of Finnish users can reach IPv6. APNIC Labs measured 51.6% in the 30 days to October 23, 2026, against 50.9% a year earlier and 36.9% in October 2020.
How big are the Finnish pools sellers advertise?
Tiny next to the registry. We read five sellers' Finland pages through our server on October 26, 2026:
Bright Data's page carries two counts: 82,262 in the title and 20,565 Finland IPs in the text, a quarter of the first.
Next to a registry of 13.9 million, all five pools are small. SOAX advertises 16,800 Finnish IPs. DataImpulse's counters showed 863 unique Finnish IPs in 24 hours, 5,016 in 30 days and 392 active at once. We do not publish our own pool size per country.
What changes with a Finnish IP?
Sites see a visitor in Finland. Google's help page says "IP addresses are roughly based on geography" and that location "helps to show you nearby results". Residential Lite chooses the country at the lowest rate. Residential Premium chooses a city or a network, by its AS number.
Address checks still happen on the sites' side. MaxMind's Anonymous IP database, licensed to sites, flags suspected residential proxies. Our guide to how websites detect proxies has the other checks.
Why do free Finnish proxies fail?
Most are datacenter addresses, and all were flagged. Our tracker has seen 3,639 Finnish addresses on public free proxy lists since May 13, 2026, and 656 worked at some point. On October 26, 9 worked: 6 at Hetzner and 2 more on other hosting networks, which leaves one outside a datacenter.
An IP reputation check had flagged all 9 and reported all 9 for recent abuse. Our free proxy list for Finland shows the live ones.
How do you pay from Finland?
Card or crypto. A card top-up via Visa or Mastercard starts at $10, a crypto top-up at $3, and the balance never expires. PayPal is not available at checkout. The payment options page has every method, and our guide to buying proxies with crypto breaks down each network's fees.
How much traffic does a Finnish job use?
Count on about 380 full desktop pages for each GB. In HTTP Archive's 2024 Page Weight chapter, the median desktop page came to 2,652 KB and the median mobile page to 2,311 KB. Text-only fetches are much lighter, so weigh twenty pages of your own target first.
Which plan fits a Finnish job?
Residential Lite with Finland as the country is the default pick, at $0.50/GB for one GB and $0.44 per GB at volume. Free proxies from Hetzner and other hosts are no substitute. Residential Premium adds the 64 cities, the 40 networks and sticky sessions of up to 24 hours. It costs $1.49/GB for one GB and $1.00 per GB at volume. Mobile proxies reach Finland's 4G and 5G carriers too, and our residential proxies page lists every tier.
What this page could not check
- Our tests covered no speed, success rate or block rate, on any network, ours included.
- We do not publish which Finnish networks our exits use, or how many there are.
- RIPE NCC's file counts addresses handed out. Addresses in use and users are different numbers.
- Routing was checked for the three largest records, on one day.
- Pool numbers are what each seller's page showed on October 26, 2026. We could not check what each one counts.
- We will check every number here again by January 26, 2027.
