To get a Swedish IP, route your traffic through a Swedish internet provider's network. A residential proxy does that with a home connection's address. Swedish sites then show you krona prices, local results and the ads that run in Sweden.
Three facts matter before you buy. Telia and Tele2 hold 41.7% of Sweden's IPv4 addresses, and a cloud provider ranks third. The pools sellers advertise each come to under 0.5% of the country's 31.4 million addresses. And all 11 working free Swedish proxies on our list were flagged on October 26, 2026. Our residential proxies target Sweden at $0.50/GB for one GB.
Which networks does a Swedish IP come from?
RIPE NCC, the internet registry for Europe, lists every block it gives out, with the holder's country. Its file, with records to October 24, 2026, lists 31,418,912 IPv4 addresses for Sweden, in 2,112 blocks held by 764 holders:
Telia holds 6,706,432 addresses and Tele2 6,387,712. Oracle's cloud follows with 2,990,080, ahead of the broadband providers Ownit and Bredband2. Hi3G's record describes its block as the "3 Customer dynamic address pool", a mobile range.
Companies and a public body hold large blocks too. Saab holds 327,680 addresses, Volvo 272,384 and Region Stockholm 265,216. The ten largest records have 72.5% of the space.
The registry also files blocks by the holder's country. Tele2's Swedish-registered set begins with a range its record calls "Tele2 Latvia Mobile Services", so a Swedish record can serve another country.
IPv6 is spreading. APNIC Labs measured 35.1% of Swedish users as IPv6-capable in the 30 days to October 23, 2026, against 9.4% in October 2020.
How big are the Swedish pools sellers advertise?
Each one is a sliver of the 31.4 million. We read five sellers' Sweden pages through our server on October 26, 2026:
| Seller | Advertised | Of Sweden's IPv4 |
|---|---|---|
| Shifter | 150,167 | 0.48% |
| Bright Data | 140,009 | 0.45% |
| Oxylabs | 125,738 | 0.40% |
| SOAX | 97,920 | 0.31% |
| DataImpulse | 15,018 in 30 days | 0.05% |
The Bright Data number comes from its page title. Its page text shows 35,002 Sweden IPs, one quarter of it.
Oxylabs counts residential and datacenter addresses as one figure. DataImpulse separates its counts: 3,584 Swedish IPs in 24 hours, 15,018 in 30 days and 1,897 active at once. Our own pool size per country is something we do not publish.
What can you check with a Swedish IP?
The Swedish versions of sites. Google's help page notes that "IP addresses are roughly based on geography" and that location "helps to show you nearby results". Residential Lite covers the country at the lowest rate, and Residential Premium narrows a check to one city. Our Sweden proxies page lists 100 cities in 21 regions, such as Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmö and Uppsala, with 55 networks.
A Swedish address does not exempt you from a site's rules. Detection data covers residential proxies too: MaxMind's Anonymous IP database carries a flag for them. Our guide to how websites detect proxies explains the other checks.
Why do free Swedish proxies fail?
Our tracker has logged 3,223 Swedish addresses from public free proxy lists since May 13, 2026, and 2,073 worked at least once. On October 26, 2026, 11 were working:
Six of the eleven ran on hosting networks such as PVDataNet, AEZA and Oracle, and one on Telia. A Swedish location on a server address is easy for a site to spot, and the reputation check had listed all eleven. Keep free proxies for tests. Our free proxy list for Sweden shows what is working now.
How do you pay from Sweden?
At our checkout you can pay by Visa or Mastercard from $10, or in crypto from $3. Both go into one balance with no expiry date. Our guide to buying proxies with crypto shows what each network charges to send a payment. We do not take PayPal; the payment options page lists every method.
How much traffic does a Swedish job use?
Roughly 380 full desktop pages per GB, at HTTP Archive's 2024 median of 2,652 KB a page, or 2,311 KB on mobile. Fetching the text of a page alone takes far less, so measure twenty of your own pages first.
Which one should you buy?
For most Swedish jobs, take Residential Lite with Sweden as the country, at $0.50/GB for one GB and $0.44 per GB at volume. Free proxies lose, since all eleven working ones were flagged. Choose Residential Premium for a city, one of the 55 networks or a sticky session of up to 24 hours. It costs $1.49/GB for one GB and $1.00 per GB at volume, as our residential proxies page lists.
What this page could not check
- No speed, success rate or block rate was tested, on any network, ours included.
- We do not publish which Swedish networks our own exits come from, or how many there are.
- RIPE NCC's file counts addresses by the holder's country, which is neither where they are used nor a count of users.
- Seller pool numbers are what each page showed on October 26, 2026. We could not check what each one counts.
- The free proxy figures come from one day and one IP reputation check.
- We will check every number on this page again by January 26, 2027.
