A residential proxy for Egypt gives you an IP from an Egyptian internet provider. Egyptian sites then treat your requests as a visit from Egypt. Use it for jobs that need a local view: pound prices on Egyptian stores, local search results, and checks in one city.
Three facts shape the purchase. A few large providers hold almost all of Egypt's addresses: the ten largest registry holders have 99.4% of them. Every working free Egyptian proxy on our list was flagged on October 25, 2026. And almost no Egyptian user has IPv6 yet. Our residential proxies target Egypt at $0.50/GB for one GB.
Which networks does an Egyptian IP come from?
AFRINIC, the internet registry for Africa, lists every block it gives out, with the holder's country. Its file of October 25, 2026 lists 24,151,808 IPv4 addresses for Egypt, in 187 blocks held by just 85 holders:
TE Data holds 7,553,792 addresses, Etisalat Misr 5,376,000, Mobinil 4,555,776 and Vodafone Data 3,484,672. The registry text is candid about who sits behind them. Etisalat Misr's largest record reads "Etisalat-Misr 3G subscribers", and a record of 1,079,296 addresses is named "Dynamic-ADSL", for "Dynamic ADSL customers and Reseller".
Small holders barely appear: the 74 holders with 16,384 addresses or fewer share 0.5% of the space. IPv6 has not taken off either. APNIC Labs measured 5.4% of Egyptian users as IPv6-capable in the 30 days to October 23, 2026, against 6.4% in 2020.
How big are the Egyptian pools sellers advertise?
We read five sellers' Egypt pages through our server on October 25, 2026, and set each number against the registry's 24.2 million. Three printed an Egypt count:
| Seller | Advertised | Of Egypt's IPv4 |
|---|---|---|
| Shifter | 3.2 million+ | 13.2% |
| Bright Data | 2,949,775 | 12.2% |
| DataImpulse | 586,612 | 2.4% |
DataImpulse's count covers 30 days. The same page shows 2,774 Egyptian IPs active at once, so the 30-day figure is 211 times the live one. Bright Data's 2,949,775 appears in its page text, with no number in its title. Oxylabs' page drew its text by script, and Decodo's answered 404.
One question settles most comparisons: is the number counted over a month, or right now? We do not publish a pool size per country ourselves.
What does an Egyptian IP show you?
The Egyptian versions of sites. Google says "IP addresses are roughly based on geography" and that location "helps to show you nearby results". An Egyptian exit therefore returns local search results, pound prices and the ads that run in Egypt.
Residential Lite covers the country at the lowest rate. For a city, use Residential Premium. Our page on Egyptian proxies lists 53 cities in 23 regions and 7 networks. Cairo, Alexandria and Giza are on the Premium lists of October 9, 2026.
The proxy changes only your address, so each site's own rules still apply to your work. Detection vendors such as MaxMind keep a flag for residential proxies in their Anonymous IP database. Our guide to how websites detect proxies explains the rest.
Why do free Egyptian proxies fail?
Our collector has seen 1,012 Egyptian addresses on public free proxy lists since May 13, 2026, and 276 of them ever worked. On October 25, 24 were working, all on the big Egyptian networks:
They sat on ordinary Egyptian networks, yet the reputation check had flagged every one and reported all 24 for recent abuse. Keep free proxies for testing code. Our free proxy list for Egypt shows what is working now.
How do you pay from Egypt?
By card: Visa and Mastercard work at our checkout from $10, and the payment funds one balance that never expires. PayPal is not offered. Our payment options page lists every method we take.
How much traffic does an Egyptian job need?
Budget about 380 full desktop pages per GB. HTTP Archive's 2024 figures put the median page at 2,652 KB on desktop and 2,311 KB on mobile. Requests without images cost far less, so test twenty of your own pages first.
Which one should you buy?
For most Egyptian jobs, buy Residential Lite with Egypt as the country, at $0.50/GB for one GB and $0.44 per GB at volume. Free Egyptian proxies lose: every working one on our list was flagged. Choose Residential Premium when the job needs a city, a network or a sticky session of up to 24 hours. It costs $1.49/GB for one GB and $1.00 per GB at volume. Our residential proxies page has the full price list.
What this page could not check
- We tested no speed, success rate or block rate, on any network, ours included.
- We do not publish which Egyptian networks our own exits come from, or how many there are.
- AFRINIC's file counts addresses given out, which is neither the addresses in use nor a count of users.
- AFRINIC's RDAP server did not answer for these blocks, so we named the holders from the whois records RIPEstat returns.
- This page does not cover the legal status of crypto in Egypt, or Egyptian banks' own limits on cards used abroad.
- We will check every number on this page again by January 25, 2027.
