The list above holds every free HTTP proxy in China that answered our checker recently. At 16:51 UTC on 15 September 2026, 85 HTTP entries in China were alive.
That is 41.7 percent of the 204 live entries in China at the same moment. Among the 97 countries with live HTTP entries, China held the 3rd largest number.
A live HTTP entry in China passed a median 86.6 percent of its own checks. That is more than twice the 31.0 percent for live HTTP entries in every country. 37 of the 85 had passed at least ten checks at 90 percent or better.
79 of the 85 live entries were flagged for recent abuse, and 35 sat on datacenter space. For work that has to keep running, paid China proxies are built for it.

What a free China HTTP proxy can reach
On 15 September 2026 we tested 127 China HTTP entries from our server in Germany. Through each one, the server fetched an address echo, then opened Baidu and Google.

HProxy test from one server in Germany. Every entry on the China list was tested. Exit countries from the ip-api.com echo. An entry that listed several protocols was tested over one: SOCKS5 first, then HTTPS, HTTP and SOCKS4.
30 of the 33 entries that showed an exit address were exiting in mainland China. The rest were exiting in Hong Kong and Japan instead. 12 of them left through an exit address different from the one on the list.
None of the 30 entries that exited in mainland China could open Google.
1 entry presented a certificate that did not verify, which is how interception shows up.

You can use HProxy's free proxy list, which needs no API key and no account.
GET https://hproxy.com/api/proxy-list?format=json returns the live pool as JSON. Useful query parameters: country (ISO alpha-2, e.g. de), protocol (http, https, socks4, socks5), anonymity (elite, anonymous, transparent) and limit. Add format=txt for plain ip:port lines instead.
Each proxy comes back with ip, port, protocols, anonymity, country_code, city, asn_org, latency_ms and uptime_24h. The pool is re-checked around the clock, so ask for it fresh rather than caching it.

We do not scan or collect these IP addresses ourselves: we verify entries that are already public (live status, latency, uptime) and store nothing else about the devices behind them.
