The useful thing to know about Sslprox is not why it ended, which nobody outside the company can honestly tell you, but when it stopped and what you should do about the money or the traffic you had with it.

The date it stopped

Checked on 9 September 2026 over https, www and plain http, the domain returned nothing (ENOTFOUND). No holding page, no error from a working server, simply no answer.

The Internet Archive holds 12 working captures, the last in April 2018. After that the crawler found nothing worth keeping, which is the closest thing to a date of death the record offers.

What the last capture shows

The final good capture, April 2018, carried the title "Sslprox.eu Unblocks Websites.". The banner line read "SSL PROX.EU". The description it gave search engines said: "Proxy Website to unblock and proxy websites."

Preserved copy has one advantage over a live page: it cannot be edited after the fact. What it shows is the promise, not the product.

What it looked like while it traded

The archive first captured a working page in October 2014.

None of it is a verdict on quality. It is the shape of a business that existed, which is worth establishing before anything else, because this market also contains names that never traded at all.

The honest limit here: we can show you the ending and not the reason for it. Anyone publishing a confident explanation of a small provider's shutdown is usually repeating a forum rumour, and we would rather leave the gap visible.

Frequently asked questions

Is Sslprox really gone?
We re-checked the domain on 9 September 2026 over https, www and plain http. Nothing answered on any of them. That is evidence of a shutdown rather than proof of one, and it is the strongest evidence the public web offers.
What happened to Sslprox?
We do not know, and we will not guess in public. The record shows when the site stopped being captured and that it no longer answers. It says nothing about the reason, and every confident explanation of a small provider's shutdown that we have read traces back to a forum rumour.
What should I use instead of Sslprox?
A list that is re-checked rather than a name someone remembers. Our free proxy list is re-verified every few minutes, so an address that stops answering drops off it instead of sitting there for years. Free proxies stay shared and short-lived, so anything that needs a login will still break.
