When the lights went out
On 9 September 2026 the name resolved to nothing usable (ENOTFOUND). Three attempts, two protocols, no response.
The Internet Archive holds 25 working captures, the last in October 2025. After that the crawler found nothing worth keeping, which is the closest thing to a date of death the record offers.
The final archived page
The last working capture is from October 2025. Its title read "peer2profit.com". Its search snippet read: "Diese Domain steht zum Verkauf!"
A third party kept that, which is why it is quotable. It records what was being claimed, and says nothing about whether the claims held up.
What they sold
The archive first captured a working page in April 2004.
The public record holds that much. It shows a company that was real and shipping, and nothing about how well.
What the registry shows
The domain was registered on 3 October 2019 through Internet Domain Service BS Corp. That makes the name about 6 years old. Someone renewed it through 3 October 2026 despite the site being gone. Checked against the registry on 23 April 2026.

On the company itself we hold: Unconfirmed association with AstroProxy.
Search demand has not caught up with the shutdown. About 40 searches a month still carry the name, read 9 September 2026.
We stop short of a cause deliberately. The registration and archive trail shows when things stopped and nothing about why, and the difference between those two claims is the difference between a fact and a defamation.

Where to go now
If you still have money or traffic sitting with them, the realistic options are a chargeback if the payment is recent enough for your card scheme, and a written record of what you paid for. Prepaid balances with a company that has stopped answering are rarely recovered any other way.
Choosing a replacement: weight the terms as heavily as the price. A balance that expires and a large minimum top-up are the two features that turn a shutdown into a real loss.
