We read every record on 10 October 2026 from our server in St. Louis. That means the Colorado register and 15 of its filings, copies of the Nebraska, Delaware and Dutch registers, and the US trademark office. It also means ARIN's network records and transfer log, a federal loan file, the SEC's filing index, US court dockets, the Internet Archive, and the pages of Rayobyte, Sprious and Cash Raven.

The story, oldest first

Blazing SEO to Rayobyte: the record. timeline: 26 Jun 2015, Blazing SEO, LLC formed in Colorado. 27 Jun 2015, blazingseollc.com registered. 7 Apr 2016, Blazing SEO opens its ARIN record. 2 Nov 2016, sprious.com registered. 10 Apr 2017, Sprious receives its first IPv4 block. 2 Apr 2018, Sprious's blocks move to Emeigh Investments. 2 Oct 2018, A team of six moves into an office. 10 Jun 2019, Network

A solid marker is a record we read in a register, an archive or a public database. A hollow one is the company's own word.

2015: a Colorado company, run from Nebraska

The Colorado register shows Blazing SEO, LLC formed on 26 June 2015 at 10:56 in the morning. Its articles name Neil Emeigh as "the person forming the limited liability company". A Denver law firm served as its first registered agent. The domain blazingseollc.com was registered the next day, and on 10 July 2015 the company registered in Nebraska as an out-of-state company.

The founder's own account starts small. Rayobyte's timeline says he began "running proxies for SEO from his basement and dorm room". In a letter of June 2024 he recalled his first goal: "one person paying me $2.50/mo for 5 semi-dedicated proxies". He gave the revenue as well: "$100k" in the first three months, "$1.1m" in year one and "$3m" in year two. These are his figures. The Colorado reports we read contain no financial data.

The first contract on record, archived on 1 September 2015, reads: "The Services are provided by Blazing SEO, LLC". It chose the laws of Colorado and the courts of Denver.

The early shop sold more than proxies. In April 2016 its menu listed "Blazing Proxies", "Blazing PBNs", two captcha-solving services, a "HUGE Account Store" and an "Archive.org Scraper". PBNs are private blog networks, a tactic for pushing pages up in search results. By July 2016 the homepage promised proxies on "over 500 subnets" and spoke of "over 1,000+ Customers".

2016 to 2018: a host called Sprious, and the first address blocks

Blazing SEO, LLC opened its own record at ARIN, the registry for North American internet addresses, on 7 April 2016. A second company appeared that year. The domain sprious.com was registered on 2 November 2016. In February 2017 it sold virtual and dedicated servers as "Sprious Server Hosting".

The contract moved to Nebraska that year. The version archived in June 2016 still chose Colorado law. By 6 November 2016 it named "Blazing SEO, LLC and its affiliates" and chose the laws of Nebraska, with arbitration there.

Sprious LLC opened its ARIN record on 7 March 2017. It received its own network number, AS64267, on 7 April 2017, and its first block of addresses by transfer three days later. ARIN's transfer log lists 21 blocks for Sprious by March 2018, 12,288 addresses in all.

On 2 April 2018 the log records a transfer of the type "merger or acquisition". It moved all of Sprious's blocks, and a large IPv6 block, to Emeigh Investments LLC. That company had opened its own ARIN record on 28 February 2018, and ARIN lists it at the same Lincoln address as Sprious. It went on to receive 50 more blocks by January 2021.

IPv4 addresses received by transfer, by year (thousands). bar: 2017 9.7, 2018 41.5, 2019 22.5, 2020 29.7, 2021 1.

The sellers were old holders of address space: RadioShack, DuPont, Moen, Janus Capital, the American Mathematical Society and seven universities and colleges among them. In all, 71 transfers from 49 sellers brought in 104,448 addresses between April 2017 and January 2021. ARIN lists 104,960 addresses under Emeigh Investments today, all of type "Direct Allocation".

ARIN also shows where the proxies stood. Between May 2018 and January 2019, Blazing SEO, LLC opened six more ARIN records, for networks in India, Japan, Brazil, Germany, the United Kingdom and Australia. Its homepage claimed "10,000+ Customers" and four countries in August 2018. By January 2019 it listed seven.

Sprious's own blog dates the team. On 2 October 2018, it says, "our small team of 6" moved into a physical office for the first time, in downtown Lincoln.

2019 and 2020: one founder, several brands

By October 2019 Sprious no longer presented itself as a host. Its homepage that month read "The Leader In Technology and Data Intelligence". It listed "Our Companies": Scraping Robot, Inspired Data Intelligence, Sprious Labs and Blazing SEO. A year later the list added WP Super Host, a WordPress host. The Nebraska register copy records the trade name WP SUPER HOST for Sprious LLC from 17 January 2020.

Scraping Robot went live on 14 October 2019. Sprious announced it as "our newest product line", "backed by the support and infrastructure of Blazing SEO proxies and servers". It gave 5,000 free scrapes and charged $0.0018 a scrape after that.

The company also moved. Sprious says the team moved to the Haymarket area of Lincoln in mid-July 2019. On 29 July 2019 the Colorado register shows Blazing SEO's office at 440 N 8th St in Lincoln. Earlier that summer, on 10 June 2019, Blazing SEO, LLC had received its own network number, AS397630.

A Q&A on sprious.com, published on 29 May 2020, put the pieces in order. It called Neil Emeigh "the founder and CEO of Sprious, a tech startup company located in Lincoln, Nebraska". Blazing SEO and Scraping Robot were its "product lines", and WP Super Host its "newest product". He also described a setback of mid-2019, when a part of the business that "made up around 30-40% of our MRR" was "going to go down".

Rayobyte's blog carries the same interview today, under the same date. In that copy he is "the founder and CEO of Rayobyte", and Scraping Robot reads "Rayobyte's Web Scraping API".

The federal loan data adds one more number. The SBA's Paycheck Protection Program file lists a loan of $86,500 to Sprious, LLC of Lincoln, approved on 4 April 2020 for 10 reported jobs. It was forgiven on 30 June 2021. We found no loan under the Blazing SEO name, either among Nebraska borrowers or among loans of $150,000 or more.

2021: residential proxies and an app called Cash Raven

In 2021 Blazing SEO added residential proxies, which route traffic through home connections. A test page of May 2021 offered them "For As Low As $2/GB/month".

Its ethics page, published on 14 April 2021, named three sources. The first was its own kit for app makers: "We pay app developers to use our SDK", and app users got a "premium, ad-free application" in return. The second was marked "Coming Soon!": "an end user application that will pay users directly". The third was resale: "Currently, we are only sourcing from a vendor who pays their end users money in exchange for their bandwidth."

Two weeks later, on 28 April 2021, Cash Raven, LLC was organised in Nebraska. Its domain, cashraven.io, was registered on 18 May 2021. Its first site, published on 9 July 2021, carried the title "Earn Passive Income By Sharing Your Internet". It named no parent company.

The year left three smaller marks. Sprious LLC received a second network number, AS54252, on 13 April 2021. In Nebraska, Blazing SEO's first registration as an out-of-state firm lapsed, and a new one was issued on 17 August 2021. Utah's register, in OpenCorporates' copy, lists Neil Emeigh as a member of Sprious LLC from 30 July 2021 to 31 July 2023.

2022: Blazing SEO becomes Rayobyte

The new name was six months in the making. rayobyte.com was registered on 11 January 2022 and got its first certificate on 31 January. On 14 June 2022 Blazing SEO, LLC filed "Rayobyte" as a trade name in Colorado.

The switch came in mid-July. The archive's first copy of rayobyte.com dates from 12 July 2022, titled "Real People. Real Proxies. | Rayobyte (formerly Blazing SEO)". blazingseollc.com still answered on 7 July and forwarded to rayobyte.com from 14 July. The trademark application, filed on 20 July 2022, gives 12 July 2022 as the first use of the name. Our page on the end of Blazing SEO follows the old domain.

The homepage explained the name: "'Rayo' refers to the largest conceivable finite number. 'Byte' refers to a single unit of data storage." "Our new name reflects our sacred promise to all customers," it went on. The promise was as much data, bandwidth and IPs as a business needs.

Only the brand changed. The new contract, archived on 12 July 2022, names "Blazing SEO, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company d/b/a Rayobyte". Every version since says the same, and the legal name has not changed since 2015. The site footer reads "Rayobyte, LLC", a company we found in no register we searched.

The sentence that names the provider in Rayobyte's terms, in three archived versions: Blazing SEO, LLC in 2015, Blazing SEO, LLC and its affiliates in 2016, and Blazing SEO, LLC, a Colorado limited liability company d/b/a Rayobyte, from July 2022
The same sentence in three versions of the terms, from Internet Archive captures of 2015, 2016 and 2022

In the first month under the new name, residential traffic cost $15 a GB in the smallest tier, for 1 to 15 GB. The published ladder fell to $3 a GB for 1 to 4.9 TB, and custom plans started "As low as" $1.

On 7 September 2022 Sprious joined an industry group. The Internet Infrastructure Coalition launched the Ethical Web Data Collection Initiative, or EWDCI, that day. Its release named five founding members: "Coresignal, Oxylabs, Smartproxy, Sprious, and Zyte."

2023 and 2024: owned addresses, a trademark, a new focus

On 11 May 2023 the founder announced a migration. "Our low quality leased IPs cost us around 30% less than our high quality self-owned IPs," he wrote. Customers on leased addresses would move to owned ones from 22 May 2023, "since these IPs are solely owned by us".

In June 2023 the company reported a new office to Colorado: 233 S 13th St, Suite 1100, its address today. A hosting firm, ServerMania, published a case study by May 2023. It says: "Rayobyte uses ServerMania services to provide proxies to companies around the world."

A year later the founder wrote a second rebranding letter. Published on 5 June 2024, it said: "we've been entirely bootstrapped ever since. It was always important to me that I didn't have an investor". The company would stop tracking profit per customer and serve individuals and small firms first. The SEC's full-text search, which covers filings since 2001, finds no filing that names Blazing SEO, Rayobyte or Sprious.

The industry group interviewed the company that month. The EWDCI's Q&A of 24 June 2024 opened: "Founded in 2015 as Blazing SEO, Rayobyte is now the largest U.S.-based proxy provider." Its VP of Marketing, Isaac Coleman, said AI "hasn't really affected us yet".

The trademark office registered RAYOBYTE on 23 July 2024, with a logo of a map pin around the letter "r". Both belong to Blazing SEO, LLC. The name the company used for seven years never became its mark. The only BLAZING SEO application on file came from another applicant in 2012 and was abandoned in 2013.

2025: a lower price and a bigger pool

By April 2025 the smallest residential tier cost $3.50 a GB, now for 1 to 49 GB. In January 2025 the list price had been $7.50 a GB for 1 to 15 GB, with a sale price beside it.

Smallest residential purchase, list price per GB. line chart over 6 points: US dollars per GB.

The pool claim grew in the same months. In January 2025 the residential page offered "A Pool Of 25M+ IPs". Lower on the same page it spoke of "our network of a few million friends". By June 2025 it claimed "40M+ residential proxies".

In February 2025 Scraping Robot, LLC, a Delaware company at Rayobyte's suite, filed the SCRAPING ROBOT trademark. It was registered on 27 January 2026. The site scrapingrobot.com is still online.

Rayobyte marked ten years with a post of 19 November 2025. "Shifting to residential was a turning point," it said. It quoted Ben Emeigh, VP of Operations: "Growing residential pools while maintaining strict opt-in sourcing has always been a challenge."

October 2026: priced for the AI era

In July 2026 the homepage still spoke of "the largest US-based proxy network in the world". It listed "40M+ Residential IPs", "400K+ Static IPs" and "50+ Full-Time Staff". On 24 September 2026 the changelog announced "Scale Residential Proxies from $0.0095/GB". On 1 October it said: "The new rayobyte.com is live."

The new site calls Rayobyte "the proxy and scraping network priced for the AI era". A thesis page signed by the founder adds: "We own our residential network, and heavy compute runs on bare-metal servers we own and operate." The about page now counts "50M+ devices every month", "5,000+ active customers" and "40+ team members".

The sourcing page changed with it. The archived ethics page of 26 August 2026 still listed resale: "Currently, we are only sourcing from vendors who compensate their end users in exchange for their bandwidth." The relaunched page reads: "We own our residential network, Cash Raven." It no longer mentions resale.

The sourcing sentence of Rayobyte's ethics page in three versions: a vendor who pays its end users in April 2021, vendors who compensate their end users from September 2025 to August 2026, and "We own our residential network, Cash Raven" in October 2026
The same sentence in three versions, from Internet Archive captures of 2021 to 2026 and the live page of 10 October 2026

Cash Raven now says it plainly: "Cash Raven is Rayobyte, in business since 2015." Its site offers app makers up to $0.50 per user a month and shows "100,000+ Devices Online Now". The Cash Raven app on Google Play, published by CASH RAVEN, LLC, shows 100,000 or more downloads.

Where its addresses come from today

The datacenter side rests on the blocks above. ARIN registers 242 networks to Blazing SEO, LLC under its seven records, and all of them lie inside the blocks of Emeigh Investments LLC. So do 99 of the 103 networks of Sprious LLC.

We checked what the three networks announce to the rest of the internet. Between 26 September and 10 October 2026 they announced 165,888 IPv4 addresses. About half of that space, 81,920 addresses, lies inside the Emeigh Investments blocks. The other half is registered under 141 other network names at the American, European and African registries. AS54252 announced no addresses from the owned blocks at all.

The residential side rests on Cash Raven. Rayobyte says every device "belongs to a person who installed an app built with the Cash Raven SDK, or the Cash Raven app itself". People who run the Cash Raven app earn credits. People who share through a partner app "are not paid in cash: they get the app free, or without ads".

In court and in filings

Neither Rayobyte nor Blazing SEO is a party to any US case we found on CourtListener. Sprious appears once, as a third party.

Amazon sued sellers of fake beauty products in the Western District of Washington in August 2020. The case is Amazon.com Inc. v. Sirowl Technology, number 2:20-cv-01217. On 16 April 2021 the court let Amazon subpoena four internet providers. Amazon had stated that logins to the sellers' payment account were "hosted by the following United States-based ISPs: Sprious LLC, Cogent Communications, Alibaba Group (U.S.) Inc., and Linode LLC". The subpoenas were limited to the sellers' identities and locations.

The court entered a default judgment against the sellers on 3 October 2022. Sprious was not a party, and no filing we read accuses it of anything.

What Rayobyte sells today, in short

Rayobyte sells residential, ISP, datacenter and mobile proxies, a Scraping API, and rayobrowse, a browser for scrapers. On 10 October 2026 Premium Residential cost $3.50 a GB for 1 to 49 GB, falling to $0.70 at 1,000 GB. Scale Residential started at $100 a month for 6,600 GB. It fell to $0.0095 a GB on the $5,000 plan, with no targeting.

The fine print matters at both ends. Scale is sold only to verified businesses after a compliance review. It allows one concurrent request per dollar of plan, and it may not be resold. Mobile plans start at $250 a month for 83 GB, and the traffic expires after 30 days. A residential trial gives 50 MB, and unusual use triggers an ID check through Sumsub.

The terms choose Nebraska law and arbitration, and they waive class actions. They also let the company charge "$100.00 for every cease and desist letter" that a customer's misuse causes. The full price tables and the alternatives are on our Rayobyte alternatives page, and our HProxy and Rayobyte comparison sets the two side by side.

Is Rayobyte legit?

The records describe an established business. Blazing SEO, LLC has existed since June 2015, filed a Colorado report in every year from 2016 to 2026, and is in good standing. It owns its brand at the US trademark office. Its network has had its own ARIN records since 2016, and a related company holds 104,960 IPv4 addresses. The EWDCI lists its accreditation as active.

Three things are not on the record. One is who owns the companies. Another is what "Rayobyte, LLC" in the footer refers to. The third is which vendors supplied its resold traffic.

If you are looking elsewhere

  • If you need city or ISP targeting at small volume, Rayobyte's Premium tier cost $3.50 a GB up to 49 GB on 10 October 2026. HProxy's Premium pool costs $1.49/GB for one gigabyte, with state, city and ISP targeting.
  • If you buy residential traffic by the hundred terabytes and need no targeting, Rayobyte is the stronger offer: Scale's $0.0095 a GB is far below our lowest residential rate, $0.44 a GB.
  • If you want to leave the Rayobyte family, note that Scraping Robot and the Cash Raven app belong to it too, and blazingseollc.com forwards to it.
  • If you already hold proxies from several sellers, our free proxy checker shows which of them answer, without an account.

What we could not find out

  1. Who owns Blazing SEO, LLC and its sister companies today. Colorado and Nebraska publish no member lists. The only member on record is Neil Emeigh in Sprious LLC's Utah registration, which ended in 2023.
  2. Whether there was ever an outside investor. The founder says no, and no SEC filing names the companies. Some private investments need no filing, so only the companies' own records would settle it.
  3. What "Rayobyte, LLC" refers to. No register we read holds a company of that name, while the contract names Blazing SEO, LLC.
  4. Which vendors supplied resold residential traffic from 2021 to at least August 2026, and whether any still do.
  5. How the device counts relate. Cash Raven shows "100,000+ Devices Online Now"; Rayobyte counts "50M+ devices every month".
  6. What Sprious Netherlands B.V. does. Only a summary of the Dutch register was readable.

Nothing on this page comes from a purchase: we read records and bought no Rayobyte proxy. Prices, claims and staff numbers change fast, so we will read these records again by 10 January 2027.
