If you are comparing ProxyBase against anything else, the first thing to fix is units. A per-gigabyte rate against a per-address rate is not a comparison, and half the proxy provider market prices in a different unit to the other half.
What we know about ProxyBase, and what we do not
You will find them at proxybase.org.
We price the providers we can source and date, and ProxyBase is not currently one of them. The rest of this page is about what to check when you read their pricing yourself.
Find the rate available with no commitment, then find the cheapest rate and what it costs to reach. The distance between those two tells you what kind of vendor you are dealing with.
Their own description, read this week
On 9 September 2026 the site introduced itself as "ProxyBase, Budget-Friendly & Reliable Residential Proxies". The blurb under their search result reads: "ProxyBase offers the most affordable and trustworthy proxy solutions starting at just $0.75/GB. Residential, high-speed, and secure."
What else that page states, without interpretation:
The product lines named on that page are residential, ISP or static residential and SOCKS5. They advertise 150 countries or locations. Payment methods mentioned: crypto and cards. We found no separate pricing page linked from the homepage, which usually means the price arrives by quotation.
Those are claims, and claims are free. They earn their place here only because the date makes them checkable later.
How long ProxyBase has been trading
The domain was registered on 12 August 2024, through Cloudflare, Inc, which makes it about 2 years old. We pulled that from the registry on 9 September 2026. The current registration term ends 12 August 2027.
None of it predicts success rate. It is here because domain age and archive depth are free to check, and a provider whose public record starts last quarter deserves a smaller first order.
What a pricing page leaves out
Ask what happens to unused balance
This single term separates cheap providers from providers that look cheap. If a plan resets at month end, your effective rate is the plan price divided by what you actually used. Ours does not expire, which is easy to say and easy to verify in the terms.
The rate behind the sales call
Treat a required call with a salesperson as a cost. It delays the work, it usually arrives with an annual term attached, and it exists because the published price is negotiable in one direction only.
The limit that stops the job
Rate limits are often enforced per account rather than per plan, which means buying more traffic does not raise them. Confirm how yours scales before you assume a bigger plan runs faster.
The rows that decide it
Here are the comparisons that survive contact with a real workload:
| Question to ask | ProxyBase | HProxy |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | Not verified by us, read their page | From $0.44/GB, pay as you go |
| Does unused balance expire? | Not published clearly, ask before paying | Never |
| Minimum commitment | Check the current terms, this one moves | None |
| Identity checks | Their terms page answers this | Card orders are screened, and verification is sometimes requested |
| Targeting | Check the current terms, this one moves | Country, city and ISP |
| Free way to evaluate | Their terms page answers this | Free proxy list and proxy checker |
A table like this can rank the things that are written down. It cannot rank the thing that matters most, which is how the network behaves against the site you care about.
The test that beats this page
It is a small amount of money for an answer that is actually about your target.
- Put a few dollars on each account. Trials are fine for a first look, but paid traffic is what you will actually be buying.
- Run them against the site you actually care about, using the code you actually run, within the same hour.
- Track the success rate and the bandwidth. A cheap gigabyte that fails half the time is not cheap.
- Run a sample of the addresses through an independent lookup, because advertised geography and actual geography differ more often than the market admits.
- Choose on the measurement, not the marketing, and expect the answer to change within a year.
Comparable providers
We hold the same record for these, and the same honest limits apply to each:
- Setupad alternatives
- ShadowProxies alternatives
- Shakergainske alternatives
- Shanchendaili (闪臣代理) alternatives
- Shellfire alternatives
- Shenlongip (神龙代理) alternatives
Our own position
Our end of it is a wallet, four proxy types and no contract. Residential begins at $0.44 per GB and the balance does not expire. The free proxy list and checker are open to anyone, and they are the fastest way to see how we treat measurement before you spend anything.
