A Japanese home IP is rarely one home
Japan quietly moved its home broadband onto a design most other countries never adopted. New connections run IPv6 natively and carry their IPv4 over the top of it, and the IPv4 transport is handled by a separate operator rather than the retail ISP. The practical result is that a Japanese residential IPv4 is commonly a shared address: several households sit behind one public IP, and on the most common setups each home gets only a small fixed budget of source ports. Bandwidth is not the limit; the number of simultaneous outbound connections is.
For proxy work that changes what a Japanese residential address even means. The reputation attached to a shared IP is collective, so it reflects everyone behind it, not one household. First, a clarification this market genuinely needs: in Japan the word "proxy" usually means a shopping intermediary, a service that buys an item on your behalf from a Japanese site and reships it abroad. That is not this. This page is about Japanese IP addresses, network routes that make your own tools appear to browse from inside Japan.
