The place
Where Hontem sits
Hontem is the 4147th-largest listed city in North Rhine-Westphalia and the 40197th-largest in Germany.
It sits 530 km west of Berlin, in the far west of North Rhine-Westphalia.
Local clocks run on Berlin time (Europe/Berlin).
The nearest big city is Aachen, 31 km to the south.

When an exit in Hontem is worth asking for
What an exit in Hontem buys you over any other Germany address is locality, not identity. A site that only reads the country treats Hontem and Berlin identically, and the great majority of geo-checks work exactly that way.
The difference shows up on local questions: search results with a map pack, stock in nearby stores, delivery windows, prices that vary by area. For those, request Hontem. For everything else a plain Germany exit does the same job with none of the supply constraints.
City-level residential supply moves week to week everywhere, ours included. If nothing is live in Hontem the moment you ask, the reliable fallback is the Germany country exit, and the free Germany list shows the public pool measured live.

FAQ
Hontem proxy questions, answered
Residential plans support city-level targeting, so you can request Hontem specifically, or widen the same request to North Rhine-Westphalia without changing plans. What is live in any one city moves constantly, for every provider; the Germany country exit is the request that never depends on one place.
To a site that reads only the country: no. Hontem and Berlin look identical there. To anything local, map results, stock, delivery estimates, the city is exactly the difference, and that is the one case worth paying the supply constraint for.
In North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, 530 km west of Berlin. The local timezone is Berlin time (Europe/Berlin).
Then take North Rhine-Westphalia as a whole, or the Germany country exit. Single-city supply is fluid in this whole industry, and we would rather hand you the wider fallback in one click than promise a specific street and miss.
