Proxz.com stopped working: the record, and the replacement

Proxz.com was a free proxy list the archive first saved in March 2004. What it was, when it stopped, what the name does today, and a list that is still checked.

Skip the dead lists.

Our free proxy list re-checks every exit every few minutes across 100+ countries, with a live last-checked time, so you copy IPs that worked moments ago, not a stale text dump.

Open the free proxy list

The short version: proxz.com is off the internet. Not blocked, not slow, not moved. The name no longer resolves, and the newest working copy anyone kept is from March 2004.

What sat at this address

The Internet Archive's first working copy of proxz.com is from March 2004 and it holds 204 days of captures in total.

The page called itself "Proxz.com ; Your Source For Free Proxy Servers".

When it went quiet

The last capture that shows the proxy itself is from 25 March 2004 and the archive kept visiting until 17 March 2025.

What the name does today

We checked proxz.com on 6 September 2026 from our own server in Germany. The lookup fails outright. Without an address there is nothing to connect to, whatever a directory still says about it.

The registry record shows the name was registered on 23 December 2003 and is paid until 23 December 2026 through Domain.com - Network Solutions, LLC.

People still look for it: 10 searches a month for the name, according to Google's Keyword Planner read on 10 September 2026.

What to use instead

Use a list somebody keeps checking rather than a name that used to work. Our free proxy list is re-verified every few minutes, and an address that stops answering leaves it instead of sitting there for years. If you already have an address, the proxy checker will tell you whether it still relays anything.

The limits of free are the same everywhere, ours included: the addresses are shared, so the sites that care have seen them before, and there is no session to hold, so logins break part way through.

Where the record runs out

There is no account of who ran it or why they stopped. Small sites like this one leave dates behind, not explanations, and we would rather say so than fill the gap.

Treat the check as one sample: taken on one day, from one network. Anything refusing data centre traffic looks identical to something switched off. Due for a recheck by 1 January 2027.

Frequently asked questions

Is proxz.com still working?
No. The name no longer resolves, which we checked on 6 September 2026 from our own server. The last working page the Internet Archive holds is from March 2004.
What can I use instead of proxz.com?
Start from a list with a visible last-checked time, and test the address before you rely on it. Ours is re-verified every few minutes and the checker tests a single address on demand.
