Buy a Residential Proxy for South Korea: Networks, Payment and Prices

A Korean IP comes from a Korean internet provider, and a residential proxy lends you one. Sites in Korea then answer as they would a local visitor, with prices in won, Korean search results and the ads that run there.

Before you buy, three facts are worth knowing. Korea Telecom alone holds 41.1% of the country's IPv4 addresses. The pools sellers advertise come to 2.6% or less of Korea's 112.5 million addresses. And all 26 working free Korean proxies on our list were flagged on October 26, 2026. Our residential proxies target South Korea at $0.50/GB for one GB.

Which networks does a Korean IP come from?

APNIC, the internet registry for the Asia Pacific region, lists every block it gives out, with the holder's country. Its latest file, with records to October 24, 2026, lists 112,475,456 IPv4 addresses for South Korea, in 2,424 blocks held by 346 holders:

Korea Telecom holds 46,177,024 addresses and SK Broadband 16,634,624. Two LG companies, LG POWERCOMM and LG DACOM, hold 17.2 million between them, and SK Telecom 7.7 million. Samsung SDS and the Korean Education Network also rank among the largest holders. The ten largest records have 86.8% of the space.

IPv6 use slipped this year. APNIC Labs measured 29.5% of Korean users as IPv6-capable in the 30 days to October 23, 2026. A year earlier the share was 31.8%, and in October 2020 it was 15.0%.

How big are the Korean pools sellers advertise?

Small next to 112.5 million. We read five sellers' Korea pages through our server on October 26, 2026:

SellerAdvertisedOf Korea's IPv4
Shifter2,892,7932.6%
Oxylabs2,421,6012.2%
Bright Data313,8130.28%
SOAX136,3200.12%
DataImpulse22,919 in 30 days0.02%

The table takes Bright Data's 313,813 from its page title. Its text reads 78,453 South Korea IPs, a quarter of the title's count.

DataImpulse also lists 6,480 unique Korean IPs in 24 hours and 2,888 active at once. A large registry makes these shares small. In Algeria, with 4.8 million addresses, the same kind of count reaches 40.6% of the registry, as our Algeria guide shows. We do not publish our own pool size per country.

What can you check with a Korean IP?

Korean results and prices. Google's help page notes that "IP addresses are roughly based on geography" and that location "helps to show you nearby results". Residential Lite covers the country at the lowest rate, and Residential Premium narrows a check to one city. Our South Korea proxies page lists 177 cities in 17 regions, such as Seoul, Busan, Incheon and Daegu, with 61 networks.

Detection vendors list residential proxies as well, MaxMind's Anonymous IP database among them, so each site's own rules still apply. Our guide to how websites detect proxies covers the other checks.

Why do free Korean proxies fail?

Our tracker has logged 11,552 Korean addresses from public free proxy lists since May 13, 2026, and 3,360 worked at least once. On October 26, 2026, 26 were working:

Eighteen of the twenty-six ran on Korea Telecom's network and seven on cloud providers such as Amazon and Alibaba. A home network did not keep them clean: the reputation check had already listed every one. Keep free proxies for tests. Our free proxy list for South Korea shows what is working now.

How do you pay from South Korea?

Pay by Visa or Mastercard from $10, or in crypto from $3. Both fund one balance that never expires. Our guide to buying proxies with crypto compares what each network charges, and our payment options page lists every method. PayPal is not offered.

How much traffic does a Korean job use?

Plan on roughly 380 full desktop pages per GB. That follows from HTTP Archive's 2024 median desktop page of 2,652 KB, or 2,311 KB on mobile. A job that skips images uses much less, so measure twenty of your own pages first.

Which one should you buy?

Start with Residential Lite and South Korea as the country, at $0.50/GB for one GB and $0.44 per GB at volume. Free proxies are out, since all 26 working ones were flagged. Move to Residential Premium when the job needs Seoul or another city, one of the 61 networks or a sticky session. It costs $1.49/GB for one GB and $1.00 per GB at volume, and the full list is on our residential proxies page.

What this page could not check

  • No speed, success rate or block rate was tested, on any network, ours included.
  • We do not publish which Korean networks our own exits come from, or how many there are.
  • APNIC's file counts addresses given out, which is neither the addresses in use nor a count of users.
  • Seller pool numbers are what each page showed on October 26, 2026. We could not check what each one counts.
  • The free proxy figures come from one day and one IP reputation check.
  • We will check every number on this page again by January 26, 2027.
