What is AS51028?

An ASN, or Autonomous System Number, identifies a network on the internet that is run as a single unit, usually by one company or organization. AS51028 is operated by SVOLS-AS and groups together the blocks of IP addresses that network announces to the rest of the internet. When a proxy's IP belongs to AS51028, the machine hosting that proxy sits inside this network.

Knowing the ASN behind an IP tells you who is ultimately responsible for it, which is why network-level filtering helps both for sourcing proxies and for defending against them. A site operator might block or challenge traffic from a hosting network that sends mostly automated requests, while someone sourcing proxies might prefer, or avoid, a particular provider's addresses.

You can use HProxy's free proxy list, which needs no API key and no account.

GET https://hproxy.com/api/proxy-list?format=json returns the live pool as JSON. Useful query parameters: country (ISO alpha-2, e.g. de), protocol (http, https, socks4, socks5), anonymity (elite, anonymous, transparent) and limit. Add format=txt for plain ip:port lines instead.

Each proxy comes back with ip, port, protocols, anonymity, country_code, city, asn_org, latency_ms and uptime_24h. The pool is re-checked around the clock, so ask for it fresh rather than caching it. It is rate limited per IP (120 requests in a burst, then 2 a second) and answers 429 with Retry-After past that.
