Shut down

What happened to IPIDEA, and what to use instead

IPIDEA has stopped answering. The registration and archive record, what the site looked like while it traded, and what to do if you were a customer.

Free proxies won't hold up here.

Shared datacenter IPs get flagged and dropped fast. When it has to hold, gaming, streaming, accounts, you need mobile and residential IPs that read as a real device, from $0.44/GB, pay as you go.

IPIDEA appears to have shut down. That sentence is doing careful work: what we can show is a dead site and an archive that stops, which is evidence of an ending and not of a reason.

When it went dark

Checked on 9 September 2026 over https, www and plain http, the domain returned nothing (ENOTFOUND). No holding page, no error from a working server, simply no answer.

Of 26 archived captures that actually loaded, the newest is January 2026. That is where the trail ends.

How it described itself

Archived January 2026, the page called itself "The world's best HTTP proxy service provider-IPIDEA Proxy IP". Its headline read "The World’s Leading Provider of IP Proxy". The blurb under its search result said: "IPIDEA is a global HTTP enterprise proxy pool service provider! It provides customers with global massive HTTP proxy, dynamic IP data center, full proxy IP support and other services, covering private residential IP resources in more than 220 countries and regions at home and abroad, and rich business types to meet you"

Archived marketing is still marketing. What makes it worth quoting is that it cannot be edited after the fact, so it is a fixed record of the promise being made at the time.

What was there

The archive first captured a working page in January 2022.

All of that is a record of what was published rather than of what worked. It is here because a reader who paid them deserves to see that the company was real and operating, which the archive settles.

Registration and expiry

The name was first registered on 26 November 2019 at NameCheap, Inc.. About 6 years, then, from first registration to now. It is paid up to 26 November 2026, so the name is held even though nothing sits on it. Registry data read 23 April 2026.

The name still draws roughly 10 searches a month worldwide, measured 9 September 2026. That is the reason this page exists: the affiliate reviews recommending them are still live and still earning.

One limit worth stating plainly: none of the above explains why. A dead domain and an archive that stops are evidence of an ending, not of a cause, and we will not guess at one in public. If you know what happened, we would rather print your account than our speculation.

Others that stopped

Other shutdowns we hold the registration and archive trail for:

Where former customers end up

If you were mid-subscription, cancel any standing card authority first so it cannot be charged again, then check whether the payment is recent enough to dispute. Both are worth doing today rather than after the window closes.

What to look for next time: no expiry on the balance, no minimum commitment, and a price you can reach without a sales call. We meet all three, residential from $0.44 per GB, and so do several others. Measure on your target rather than taking anyone's word, including ours.

Frequently asked questions

Is IPIDEA really gone?
We re-checked the domain on 9 September 2026 over https, www and plain http. Nothing answered on any of them. That is evidence of a shutdown rather than proof of one, and it is the strongest evidence the public web offers.
What happened to IPIDEA?
We do not know, and we will not guess in public. The record shows when the site stopped being captured and that it no longer answers. It says nothing about the reason, and every confident explanation of a small provider's shutdown that we have read traces back to a forum rumour.
Can I get my money back?
If the payment is recent enough to fall inside your card scheme's dispute window, a chargeback is usually the only realistic route once a provider stops answering. Cancel any recurring authority at your bank rather than on their site, and keep receipts and support threads as evidence.
Why does IPIDEA still show up in reviews?
Because affiliate reviews are rarely revisited once they rank. Search demand for a dead provider outlives the company by years, and the pages recommending it keep earning, which is why a dated check like this one is worth more than a five-star roundup.

Proxies that don't die mid-job

Residential, ISP, datacenter and mobile, verified by the same engine that runs tens of millions of checks. They read as a real device and hold up under load. Pay as you go, and your balance never expires. $0.44/GB is the 2,000 GB+ rate; a single gigabyte is $0.50/GB, with no minimum order.
