Providers in this market disappear quietly, and Identitycloaker disappeared quietly. What follows is the registration and archive record, stated only as far as it goes, and no theory beyond it.

What the site does today

We tried three routes to it on 9 September 2026 and all three failed (EAI_AGAIN). Nothing is listening.

The archive stops returning a real page after August 2025, having kept 82 of them. Crawls continued; the site did not.

How it described itself

In August 2025, the last month the archive caught it working, the homepage was titled "Internet Privacy and Identity Protection by IdentityCloaker.com!". For search engines it described itself as: "Identity Cloaker is an "Internet Privacy Protection Service". It protects the customer"

The company is describing itself there, preserved by a third party. It is the closest a reader gets to seeing what they signed up for. Marketing, not evidence of quality, but nobody can quietly revise it now.

The site, while it lasted

The archive first captured a working page in September 2008.

So the business existed and had a product. Whether it was any good is not something the record can settle.

The registration record

Registration goes back to 21 January 2007, with PDR Ltd. d/b/a PublicDomainRegistry.com as registrar. So the domain has existed for some 19 years. Registration runs to 21 January 2027. Somebody is still paying for a name that serves nothing. Those dates come from a registry lookup on 9 September 2026.

What this page cannot tell you is the reason. Companies close for ordinary reasons far more often than dramatic ones, and the public record does not distinguish between them. Everything above is a date or a capture; none of it is a motive.

Practical first step for a former customer: stop any recurring payment at your bank rather than on their site, since their site is not there to stop it on. Then check your dispute window.
