When the lights went out
Every request we made on 9 September 2026 failed, the last with EAI_AGAIN. Nothing responds on that name over either protocol.
Of 212 archived captures that actually loaded, the newest is May 2025. That is where the trail ends.
What the last capture shows
Archived May 2025, the page called itself "Your Freedom - VPN, tunneling, anonymization, anti-censorship. Windows/Mac/Linux/Android". Above the fold it said "Your Footprint". Its search snippet read: "HTTPS/UDP/FTP/DNS/ECHO VPN & tunneling solution for Windows, Mac OSX, Linux and Android. Bypass proxies and access the Internet anonymously, for free!"
Read it as the pitch rather than the product. Its value is that the Internet Archive holds it independently of us and of them, so anyone can check the quotation.
What they sold
The archive first captured a working page in January 2005.
The public record holds that much. It shows a company that was real and shipping, and nothing about how well.
What the registry shows
The domain was registered on 24 March 2004 through united-domains GmbH. That makes the name about 22 years old. Someone renewed it through 24 March 2027 despite the site being gone. Checked against the registry on 9 September 2026.
Search demand has not caught up with the shutdown. About 10 searches a month still carry the name, read 9 September 2026.
We stop short of a cause deliberately. The registration and archive trail shows when things stopped and nothing about why, and the difference between those two claims is the difference between a fact and a defamation.

Where to go now
If you still have money or traffic sitting with them, the realistic options are a chargeback if the payment is recent enough for your card scheme, and a written record of what you paid for. Prepaid balances with a company that has stopped answering are rarely recovered any other way.
Choosing a replacement: weight the terms as heavily as the price. A balance that expires and a large minimum top-up are the two features that turn a shutdown into a real loss.
