Free proxies won't hold up here.

Shared datacenter IPs get flagged and dropped fast. When it has to hold, gaming, streaming, accounts, you need mobile and residential IPs that read as a real device, from $0.44/GB, pay as you go.

Residential proxies

We compete with Pegasusdirectory, so treat every line below as coming from an interested party. What follows is the record we hold, the questions their marketing page does not answer, and a test you can run yourself that outranks this page and every other review.

What we know about Pegasusdirectory, and what we do not

Pegasusdirectory trades at pegasusdirectory.com.

We price the providers we can source and date, and Pegasusdirectory is not currently one of them. The rest of this page is about what to check when you read their pricing yourself.

When you do read it, note four things: the rate you actually qualify for today, the minimum purchase, whether unused balance expires, and whether failed requests are billed. Those four decide the real cost more than the headline does.

Pegasusdirectory in its own words

The title tag on 9 September 2026 was "Pegasus Business Directory – Want your business known? Add it to the Pegasus Business Directory so people can find what they need when they need it!".

What else that page states, without interpretation:

Payment methods mentioned: crypto. We found no separate pricing page linked from the homepage, which usually means the price arrives by quotation.

That is the vendor speaking, not us. We print it because a claim with a date attached is at least falsifiable.

How far back the record goes

The domain was registered on 2 December 2005, through NameCheap, Inc, which makes it about 20 years old. Checked against the registry on 9 September 2026. The registration currently runs to 2 December 2026.

None of it predicts success rate. It is here because domain age and archive depth are free to check, and a provider whose public record starts last quarter deserves a smaller first order.

What Pegasusdirectory publishes

Our own crawl reached 36.755 of their pages, last run 19 June 2026. The mix was 4 blog pages and 1 use-case page.

Site size is a signal about marketing budget rather than network quality, and the two are frequently unrelated. It is useful for a different reason: a provider with many pricing pages is usually segmenting hard, and a provider with none is selling by quotation.

How active Pegasusdirectory still is

Our crawl of their site found 22,063 pages carrying a date. The oldest is from November 2021 and the newest from August 2023.

A site that has not been touched in a year is a signal, not a verdict. It can mean a stable product with nothing to announce, or a company that has stopped. The way to tell them apart is to ask them.

What a pricing page leaves out

Pool size does not predict success rate

Claims of ten million, one hundred million or more say nothing about whether your requests get through this week. Your job meets the handful of exits it draws, in your countries, against one target. Rotation policy and freshness move that outcome far more than the headline total.

The gap between the headline and the bill

Divide what you spent in a month by what you actually used, and you have the only rate worth quoting. It usually sits well above the figure on the homepage, because tiers, minimums and unused allocation all sit between the two.

Money you paid for and did not spend

Find out whether unspent traffic rolls over, expires, or expires only on some plans. The answer changes the effective rate by more than most of the price differences buyers spend their time arguing about.

The rows that decide it

What to do instead of reading more comparisons

The steps below take about ten minutes and settle the question properly.

  1. Put a few dollars on each account. Trials are fine for a first look, but paid traffic is what you will actually be buying.
  2. Run them against the site you actually care about, using the code you actually run, within the same hour.
  3. Track the success rate and the bandwidth. A cheap gigabyte that fails half the time is not cheap.
  4. Run a sample of the addresses through an independent lookup, because advertised geography and actual geography differ more often than the market admits.
  5. Choose on the measurement, not the marketing, and expect the answer to change within a year.

The rest of the shortlist

Buyers comparing this name usually have two or three of these open in other tabs:

Our own position

Our end of it is a wallet, four proxy types and no contract. Residential begins at $0.44 per GB and the balance does not expire. The free proxy list and checker are open to anyone, and they are the fastest way to see how we treat measurement before you spend anything.

Frequently asked questions

Is a cheaper provider usually worse?
Not reliably. Price in this market reflects the supply model and the sales overhead as much as the network. What price does not tell you is the success rate on your target, and that is the figure that decides whether the cheaper option was cheap or expensive. Measure before assuming either way.
How is HProxy different?
The models differ more than the products do. HProxy is pay as you go from a balance you top up when you want, the balance does not expire, there is no subscription unless the optional discount suits you, and residential starts at $0.44 per GB with city and ISP targeting included. Whether that beats a tiered plan depends on your usage pattern, which a short test settles.
Do I have to talk to sales or sign a contract to switch?
Not with us. You can sign up, add funds and send traffic without a call, a minimum or a subscription. Whether another provider requires any of those is on their own pricing page and is worth reading, because a required commitment is part of the price even when it is not part of the rate.
How often should I re-test a provider?
Quarterly is a reasonable rhythm for most workloads, and immediately after a noticeable drop in success rate. Pools are rebuilt, suppliers change and detection improves, so a benchmark from last year describes a network that no longer exists.
Does a bigger pool mean better results?
No. Your job meets only the exits it draws, in the countries it needs, against one target's defences. Freshness and rotation policy move the outcome far more than the headline total, and pool totals across this market are counted generously and rarely audited.

Proxies that don't die mid-job

Residential, ISP, datacenter and mobile, verified by the same engine that runs tens of millions of checks. They read as a real device and hold up under load. Pay as you go, and your balance never expires. $0.44/GB is the 2,000 GB+ rate; a single gigabyte is $0.50/GB, with no minimum order.
