We compete with StrongVPN, so treat every line below as coming from an interested party. What follows is the record we hold, the questions their marketing page does not answer, and a test you can run yourself that outranks this page and every other review.
First: StrongVPN is a VPN, and we are not
StrongVPN is a VPN. HProxy sells proxies. If what you want is an encrypted tunnel for all of your traffic, with an app that protects the whole device, buy a VPN and stop reading here. We would rather lose the click than take a customer who needed something else.
The difference in one line: a VPN routes everything through one encrypted tunnel and hides your traffic from the network you are on. A proxy routes one application or one request through a chosen address, gives you control over which address and which country, and does not encrypt anything by itself. A VPN is for privacy on a network you do not trust. A proxy is for controlling where a request appears to come from.
If you are switching away from StrongVPN because you kept hitting blocks while automating something, or because you needed a specific city or a stable address per session, that is a proxy problem and this page is for you. If you are switching because you want cheaper streaming or a better mobile app, it is not.
Everything we can stand behind
Their site is strongvpn.com.
We have no verified current rate for StrongVPN on file. Printing a guess would make this page worse than useless, so the price row below is empty and the reading list is not.
Check the reachable rate, the minimum, the expiry terms and the failure billing, and date your note. A price without those four attached is not a price.
The site, as it reads today
Their homepage title, read on 9 September 2026: "StrongVPN.com - Providing high speed, unthrottled bandwidth, multiple countries VPN accounts for over 100,000 users. Since 1995., StrongVPN". The one-paragraph pitch on their own page: "Enjoy true privacy and security online with StrongVPN. Providing high-speed encryption and customer satisfaction since 1995."
Also on the page, stated plainly:
They advertise 30 countries or locations. A refund or money-back term is mentioned. Their pricing page is titled "StrongVPN Plans, StrongVPN".
None of that is verified performance. It is what the vendor chose to publish, recorded with a date so you can see whether it still says the same thing.
Age, and why it matters here
The domain was registered on 7 March 2006, through CSC Corporate Domains, Inc, which makes it about 20 years old. The lookup behind those dates ran on 9 September 2026. As things stand the domain is held to 7 March 2027.
None of it predicts success rate. It is here because domain age and archive depth are free to check, and a provider whose public record starts last quarter deserves a smaller first order.
What people actually search about StrongVPN
Worldwide, the brand carries about 100 searches a month: 70 a month for a review of them, 20 a month for their pricing and 10 a month for an alternative to them. Figures read from Google Keyword Planner on 9 September 2026.
The largest share is people checking whether to trust it, which is the honest starting point for a page like this one.
The top bid on those terms reaches $15.98 a click. That is the market pricing its own customers, and it explains why almost every other result you found is an affiliate page.
What you still do not know after reading their site
The entry price is not the effective price
Rates in this market are quoted from the bottom of the table. The relevant question is which row you land on at your volume, and whether reaching a cheaper row costs more in commitment than it saves per unit.
What happens at the end of the month
This single term separates cheap providers from providers that look cheap. If a plan resets at month end, your effective rate is the plan price divided by what you actually used. Ours does not expire, which is easy to say and easy to verify in the terms.
What the lowest rate actually costs
Treat a required call with a salesperson as a cost. It delays the work, it usually arrives with an annual term attached, and it exists because the published price is negotiable in one direction only.
The two of us, on the questions that matter
Here are the comparisons that survive contact with a real workload:
| Question to ask | StrongVPN | HProxy |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | Not verified by us, read their page | From $0.44/GB, pay as you go |
| Does unused balance expire? | Their terms page answers this | Never |
| Minimum commitment | Worth confirming in writing before you commit | None |
| Identity checks | Read their current terms | Card orders are screened, and verification is sometimes requested |
| Targeting | Worth confirming in writing before you commit | Country, city and ISP |
| Free way to evaluate | Read their current terms | Free proxy list and proxy checker |
Treat the right-hand column as a claim by an interested party, because it is one. Every line in it is checkable on our own pages and in our own terms.
What to do instead of reading more comparisons
The steps below take about ten minutes and settle the question properly.
- Fund both accounts with the least money each will accept, and note what that minimum was, because it is part of the comparison.
- Aim both at the page that matters to you rather than a test endpoint, and keep every other variable fixed.
- Record the success rate and the data consumed for the identical batch on each side.
- Check some of the addresses yourself for country, ASN and type before you trust the label on the plan.
- Keep the winner, and repeat the whole thing quarterly, because pools age.
Where else buyers look
If this one does not fit, these are the nearest comparable providers we have written up, each on the same terms as this page.
- Saglamproxy alternatives
- SAProxy alternatives
- ScoreHost alternatives
- Scrape alternatives
- Scrapegraphai alternatives
- Scrapinghub alternatives
The disclaimer at the top stands at the bottom too. We are not the answer to "which VPN next". We are the answer to "I need requests to come from somewhere specific, reliably".
Where we fit
For completeness: residential from $0.44 per GB, city and ISP targeting included, no monthly minimum, and a balance that stays where you left it. We are a good fit for uneven workloads and a poor one for anybody who wants a signed enterprise agreement.
