A scraping API comparison is only as good as its dates. Prices, pools and policies all move, so every number below carries the day it was read, and anything we could not read is marked as unverified rather than filled in.
Everything we can stand behind
Crustdata trades at crustdata.com. They compete with us as a scraping API.
We price the providers we can source and date, and Crustdata is not currently one of them. The rest of this page is about what to check when you read their pricing yourself.
Find the rate available with no commitment, then find the cheapest rate and what it costs to reach. The distance between those two tells you what kind of vendor you are dealing with.
Crustdata in its own words
The title tag on 9 September 2026 was "Real-Time B2B Data Provider for AI Agents, Crustdata". The description they publish for search engines reads: "Crustdata provides real-time B2B data API for AI agents with 1B+ people and 60M+ companies to power sales, recruiting, and investment workflows."
Reading the same page for the things buyers actually ask about:
Their pricing page is titled "B2B Data API Pricing Plans - People and Business Data, Crustdata".
None of that is verified performance. It is what the vendor chose to publish, recorded with a date so you can see whether it still says the same thing.
Age, and why it matters here
The domain was registered on 18 March 2019, through NameCheap, Inc, which makes it about 7 years old. We pulled that from the registry on 9 September 2026. The Internet Archive holds 36 snapshots of the site, the earliest from October 2021. The current registration term ends 18 March 2029.
This proves nothing about the product. It is a cheap check against the one failure mode that costs buyers real money in this market, which is paying a provider that will not exist in six months.
Their published surface
Our own crawl reached 318 of their pages. The mix was 224 blog pages, 1 pricing page and 25 use-case pages.
The number is not a compliment or a criticism. It describes how much of their effort goes into being found, which is worth knowing when you are weighing a marketing claim against a measurement.
What people actually search about Crustdata
Search volume around the name runs to 100 a month, split as 90 a month for their pricing and 10 a month for an alternative to them. Figures read from Google Keyword Planner on 9 September 2026.
The biggest slice is people trying to work out what it costs, so the useful thing to hand a reader is evidence rather than an opinion.
Advertisers bid up to $19.98 for one of those clicks, which is a useful proxy for what a customer in this market is worth and for how hard the results page is fought over.
What you still do not know after reading their site
The comparison that is not a comparison
Half this market prices bandwidth and half prices addresses. A per-address plan is cheap for heavy traffic through few exits and ruinous for light traffic through many, and the reverse holds for per-gigabyte plans.
What a blocked response costs you
Divide the spend by the successful responses, not by the requests sent. That single change reorders most price comparisons in this market, and your accounting will use it eventually anyway.
Concurrency limits decide throughput
Rate limits are often enforced per account rather than per plan, which means buying more traffic does not raise them. Confirm how yours scales before you assume a bigger plan runs faster.
The two of us, on the questions that matter
Six questions, both answers, and an honest blank where we do not hold a current figure:
| Question to ask | Crustdata | HProxy |
|---|---|---|
| Entry price | Not verified by us, read their page | From $0.44/GB, pay as you go |
| Does unused balance expire? | Read their current terms | Never |
| Minimum commitment | Check the current terms, this one moves | None |
| Identity checks | Their terms page answers this | Card orders are screened, and verification is sometimes requested |
| Targeting | On their own terms page | Country, city and ISP |
| Free way to evaluate | Not published clearly, ask before paying | Free proxy list and proxy checker |
Read the table as a list of questions rather than a scoreboard. The answers on their side move, and the row that decides the outcome, success rate on your target, is not printable by anyone.
The test that beats this page
It is a small amount of money for an answer that is actually about your target.
- Fund both accounts with the least money each will accept, and note what that minimum was, because it is part of the comparison.
- Aim both at the page that matters to you rather than a test endpoint, and keep every other variable fixed.
- Write down two numbers per provider: the share of requests that succeeded, and the traffic it cost.
- Take a handful of the addresses you were given and verify their country and type against a checker you do not control.
- Go with whichever performed, then measure again next quarter. Networks change underneath you.

Our own position
Residential starts at $0.44 per GB, the balance never expires, there is no minimum commitment and no sales call, and city and ISP targeting are included. We publish our free side openly, 129,131,311 verification checks and counting, because a network that is confident has no reason to fear measurement.
