Careful with this one: wecanunblock.com is not dead. A crawler reached it on 26 August 2026 and saved a page. Our server did not, which is what a site that blocks data centre addresses looks like from the outside.
The site behind the name

The page called itself "We Can Unblock Proxy Site". The directory recorded it as a PHProxy install, which is what nearly all of these sites were.
This free proxy site provides unblocking and browsing services to everybody.
That is the site's own description, from the capture of 9 October 2025.
Somebody submitted it to workingproxysites.com 14 years ago, and 15,071 people clicked through from there.
How it ended
The last capture that shows the proxy itself is from 9 October 2025 and the archive kept visiting until 26 August 2026.
Where the address points now
We checked wecanunblock.com on 10 September 2026 from our own server in Germany. It answers with no answer.
The registry record shows the name was registered on 27 October 2010 and is paid until 27 October 2026 through NameSilo, LLC. Its name servers are ns1.dnsowl.com and ns2.dnsowl.com.
A working replacement
The useful thing is not another proxy name, it is a list somebody re-checks. Ours drops entries the moment they stop answering, and the checker will tell you whether an address you already have still relays anything.
Free proxies remain shared and short lived, which is fine for opening one blocked page and wrong for anything that has to hold a session.
What this page cannot tell you
Why it stopped is not in the record. A dead name and an archive that runs out show that something ended, not the reason for it, and we will not put a reason in print that the record does not carry.
Our status check is one day from one vantage point, and a site that refuses requests from data centres would look the same as one that is switched off. We will check this page again by 1 January 2027.
