violetstory.tk is gone in the most literal sense: the name itself no longer exists in the domain system. The last page anyone saved from it dates to March 2014.
The site behind the name
The Internet Archive's first working copy of violetstory.tk is from March 2014 and it holds 3 days of captures in total.
The page called itself "Blue Proxy". Underneath it was Glype, the same free script the rest of the directory ran.
Somebody submitted it to workingproxysites.com 12 years ago, and that listing counted 191 clicks through to it.
How it ended
The last capture that shows the proxy itself is from 29 March 2014 and the archive kept visiting until 16 January 2018.
This was not a site that failed on its own. .tk was one of five free domain endings run by Freenom, which froze new registrations in early 2023 after a lawsuit from Meta, and the free names died with the arrangement. In our census of the directory, 92 percent of the listed proxies sat on one of those free endings.
Where the address points now
We checked violetstory.tk on 10 September 2026 from our own server. No address comes back for it at all, so a browser gives up before it can ask for a page.
The replacement
What this site did, a page you browse through, is worth less now than a list you can test. Our free proxy list carries a last-checked time on every entry and re-verifies every few minutes; the checker tests any single address you bring.
None of that makes free proxies reliable. They are shared, so targets have seen the address before, and they hold no session, which breaks logins.
What this page cannot tell you
Why it stopped is not in the record. A dead name and an archive that runs out show that something ended, not the reason for it, and we will not put a reason in print that the record does not carry.
Our status check is one day from one vantage point, and a site that refuses requests from data centres would look the same as one that is switched off. We will check this page again by 1 January 2027.
