ukraine-proxy.nu does not exist any more. The name stopped resolving, so a browser cannot even find a server to ask, and the last time anything answered there was August 2018.
The site it used to be
The Internet Archive's first working copy of ukraine-proxy.nu is from August 2018 and it holds 2 days of captures in total.
It ran on PHProxy, the script behind most free web proxies of that era.
A directory of free web proxies, workingproxysites.com, took the listing 9 years ago, and the directory counted 420 clicks on it.
When it stopped
The last capture that shows the proxy itself is from 9 August 2018.
What answers there now
We checked ukraine-proxy.nu on 10 September 2026 from our own server. Nothing resolves. The lookup comes back empty, which means no server can even be reached, let alone a proxy.
What still works
The replacement for a dead web proxy is not another name to remember. Our free proxy list shows when each entry was last checked and re-verifies every few minutes, and the checker tests an address you bring yourself.
Free proxies stay shared and short lived. For opening a blocked page that is usually enough, and for anything that has to work at a particular moment it is not.
What we could not establish
No public document explains the ending. We can date it and describe it; anything about motive would be invention, and this page prints none.
This is a single reading from a single vantage point. A proxy that turns away data centre addresses would give us the same silence as a proxy that no longer exists. We recheck by 1 January 2027.
