quickbypass.com may still be running, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. The Internet Archive saved a working page from it on 26 August 2026, while our own request from a data centre got no answer at all.
What sat at this address
The Internet Archive's first working copy of quickbypass.com is from November 2003 and it holds 111 days of captures in total.
The page called itself "Bypass Proxy - Best Free Service Online | UPDATED SERVER". It ran on PHProxy, the script behind most free web proxies of that era.
In addition, your surfing is kept as anonymous as possible.
That is the site's own description, from the capture of 18 November 2003.
The listing that carried it, on the free proxy directory workingproxysites.com, is 14 years old, and the directory counted 25,436 clicks on it.
When it went quiet
The last capture that shows the proxy itself is from 13 January 2026 and the archive kept visiting until 26 August 2026.
What the name does today
We checked quickbypass.com on 10 September 2026 from our own server in Germany. It answers with no answer.
The registry record shows the name was registered on 14 November 2010 and is paid until 14 November 2026 through NameSilo, LLC. Its name servers are ns1.dnsowl.com and ns2.dnsowl.com.
People still look for it: 10 searches a month for the name, according to Google's Keyword Planner read on 10 September 2026.
What we would use
Skip the name-hunting. The free proxy list we publish is re-verified every few minutes and shows exactly when each address last answered, and the checker will test an address from an old bookmark before you rely on it.
The honest caveat stays: a free proxy is shared and short lived, and anything behind a login tends to break part way through.
Where the record runs out
There is no account of who ran it or why they stopped. Small sites like this one leave dates behind, not explanations, and we would rather say so than fill the gap.
Treat the check as one sample: taken on one day, from one network. Anything refusing data centre traffic looks identical to something switched off. Due for a recheck by 1 January 2027.
