Typing newserver.xyz today gets you a parking page put there by whoever holds the name. The proxy behind it stopped being captured after March 2015.

What it was

The Internet Archive's first working copy of newserver.xyz is from March 2015 and it holds 17 days of captures in total.

The page called itself "New Server - Free Ukraine Proxy". It ran on PHProxy, the script behind most free web proxies of that era.

The new server can be the safe bet to unblock websites on your computer.

That is the site's own description, from the capture of 23 March 2015.

It was listed on workingproxysites.com, a directory of free web proxies, 12 years ago, and that listing counted 238 clicks through to it. The directory recorded it as Europe.

When it stopped

The last capture that shows the proxy itself is from 23 March 2015 and the archive kept visiting until 25 February 2025.

By 5 January 2018 the same address answered with something else: the capture from that day is titled "The domain name newserver.xyz is for sale | Undeveloped".

What the name does today

We checked newserver.xyz on 10 September 2026 from our own server in Germany. It answers with parked.

People still look for it: 10 searches a month for the name, according to Google's Keyword Planner read on 10 September 2026.

What still works

The replacement for a dead web proxy is not another name to remember. Our free proxy list shows when each entry was last checked and re-verifies every few minutes, and the checker tests an address you bring yourself.

Free proxies stay shared and short lived. For opening a blocked page that is usually enough, and for anything that has to work at a particular moment it is not.

What this page cannot tell you

The record shows when, not why. Nothing public says whether the operator lost interest, lost the hosting, or simply moved on, so this page does not guess.

Our status check is one day from one vantage point, and a site that refuses requests from data centres would look the same as one that is switched off. We will check this page again by 1 January 2027.
