Newbrilliant.tk stopped working: the record, and the replacement

Newbrilliant.tk was a free web proxy. What it was, when it stopped, what the name does today, and a list that is still checked.

Skip the dead lists.

Our free proxy list re-checks every exit every few minutes across 100+ countries, with a live last-checked time, so you copy IPs that worked moments ago, not a stale text dump.

If you came looking for newbrilliant.tk, stop here: the address has no server behind it and nothing on the public record shows it working.

What sat at this address

Almost nothing survives of newbrilliant.tk. The Internet Archive never kept a working page from it, which is common for a site that ran for a season on a free address.

It ran on Glype, the script behind most free web proxies of that era.

The listing that carried it, on the free proxy directory workingproxysites.com, is 13 years old, and the directory counted 129 clicks on it.

When it went quiet

The address is part of the reason. A .tk name was free, handed out by Freenom, and free is what most of these proxies were built on. Freenom stopped issuing new names in early 2023 after Meta sued it over domains used in phishing, and the names already out there stopped resolving over the following year. We checked the whole directory: 8,281 of its 8,948 sites used a .tk address and 8,275 of those are now gone.

What the name does today

We checked newbrilliant.tk on 10 September 2026 from our own server. The lookup fails outright. Without an address there is nothing to connect to, whatever a directory still says about it.

What we would use

Skip the name-hunting. The free proxy list we publish is re-verified every few minutes and shows exactly when each address last answered, and the checker will test an address from an old bookmark before you rely on it.

The honest caveat stays: a free proxy is shared and short lived, and anything behind a login tends to break part way through.

Where the record runs out

There is no account of who ran it or why they stopped. Small sites like this one leave dates behind, not explanations, and we would rather say so than fill the gap.

Treat the check as one sample: taken on one day, from one network. Anything refusing data centre traffic looks identical to something switched off. Due for a recheck by 1 January 2027.

Frequently asked questions

Is newbrilliant.tk still working?
No. The name no longer resolves, which we checked on 10 September 2026 from our own server. The Internet Archive holds no working copy of it either.
What can I use instead of newbrilliant.tk?
Start from a list with a visible last-checked time, and test the address before you rely on it. Ours is re-verified every few minutes and the checker tests a single address on demand.
