Typing clickweb.us today gets you a parking page put there by whoever holds the name. The proxy behind it stopped being captured after August 2005.

The page called itself "CLICK - Home Page". It ran on PHProxy, the script behind most free web proxies of that era.
It was listed on workingproxysites.com, a directory of free web proxies, 13 years ago, and that listing counted 732 clicks through to it. The directory recorded it as United States.
When it stopped
The last capture that shows the proxy itself is from 18 August 2005 and the archive kept visiting until 31 October 2023.
What the name does today
We checked clickweb.us on 10 September 2026 from our own server in Germany. It answers with parked.
What still works
The replacement for a dead web proxy is not another name to remember. Our free proxy list shows when each entry was last checked and re-verifies every few minutes, and the checker tests an address you bring yourself.
Free proxies stay shared and short lived. For opening a blocked page that is usually enough, and for anything that has to work at a particular moment it is not.
What this page cannot tell you
The record shows when, not why. Nothing public says whether the operator lost interest, lost the hosting, or simply moved on, so this page does not guess.
Our status check is one day from one vantage point, and a site that refuses requests from data centres would look the same as one that is switched off. We will check this page again by 1 January 2027.
