Skip the dead lists.

Our free proxy list re-checks every exit every few minutes across 100+ countries, with a live last-checked time, so you copy IPs that worked moments ago, not a stale text dump.

bypass.nu is somebody else's site now. The address answers, but what loads has nothing to do with the proxy that used to be there, whose last working capture dates to July 2014.

What it was

The Internet Archive's first working copy of bypass.nu is from July 2014 and it holds 22 days of captures in total.

The page called itself "Bypass - France Web Proxy". The directory recorded it as a PHProxy install, which is what nearly all of these sites were.

France bypass proxy can hide your online identity from the prying eyes.

That is the site's own description, from the capture of 4 July 2014.

It was listed on workingproxysites.com, a directory of free web proxies, 12 years ago, and that listing counted 398 clicks through to it.

When it stopped

The last capture that shows the proxy itself is from 4 July 2014 and the archive kept visiting until 18 December 2021.

By 29 March 2018 the same address answered with something else: the capture from that day is titled "The domain name bypass.nu is for sale | Undeveloped".

What the name does today

We checked bypass.nu on 10 September 2026 from our own server in Germany. It answers, and the page is titled "Webshop, Webhosting, Domæner og E-handel - Dandomain A/S".

People still look for it: 10 searches a month for the name, according to Google's Keyword Planner read on 10 September 2026.

Where to go from here

A list with a visible last-checked time beats a remembered domain. Ours re-verifies every few minutes; the checker tests a single address if you would rather bring your own.

Expect what free has always meant: shared addresses that targets recognise, and no session persistence, which breaks anything behind a login.

What this page cannot tell you

Why it stopped is not in the record. A dead name and an archive that runs out show that something ended, not the reason for it, and we will not put a reason in print that the record does not carry.

Our status check is one day from one vantage point, and a site that refuses requests from data centres would look the same as one that is switched off. We will check this page again by 1 January 2027.

Frequently asked questions

Is bypass.nu still working?
No. The address now serves a different site, checked on 10 September 2026. The proxy's last working capture in the archive is from July 2014.
What was bypass.nu?
A free web proxy running the PHProxy script. Its own page said: France bypass proxy can hide your online identity from the prying eyes.
What can I use instead of bypass.nu?
A list that is re-checked rather than a name someone remembers. Our free proxy list is re-verified every few minutes, so entries that stop answering drop off it. Free proxies stay shared and short lived, so anything behind a login will still break.
