The short version: amichigan.tk is off the internet. Not blocked, not slow, not moved. The name no longer resolves, and the newest working copy anyone kept is from September 2017.
What it was
The Internet Archive's first working copy of amichigan.tk is from May 2017 and it holds 2 days of captures in total.
Underneath it was Glype, the same free script the rest of the directory ran.
It was listed on workingproxysites.com, a directory of free web proxies, 13 years ago, and that listing counted 213 clicks through to it. Its entry gives the country as United States.
The end of it
and the archive kept visiting until 14 September 2017.
A free proxy on a free domain has the lifespan of the domain. .tk names came from Freenom at no cost, Freenom stopped handing them out in early 2023 under legal pressure from Meta, and the existing ones stopped answering during the year that followed. That is why almost the entire directory went quiet at once rather than one site at a time.
The address today
We checked amichigan.tk on 10 September 2026 from our own server. The name does not resolve: there is no address behind it, so nothing can be served from it.
What to use instead
Use a list somebody keeps checking rather than a name that used to work. Our free proxy list is re-verified every few minutes, and an address that stops answering leaves it instead of sitting there for years. If you already have an address, the proxy checker will tell you whether it still relays anything.
The limits of free are the same everywhere, ours included: the addresses are shared, so the sites that care have seen them before, and there is no session to hold, so logins break part way through.

The record shows when, not why. Nothing public says whether the operator lost interest, lost the hosting, or simply moved on, so this page does not guess.
One check, one day, one place: that is the honest weight of what we measured, since a site blocking data centre traffic reads exactly like a site that is gone. The next check is due by 1 January 2027.
